Historia
We live in a cultural moment where the definition of “woman” eludes the keenest of thinkers and brightest of scientists, where one’s biological sex and one’s gender are divorced, where the meaning of gender itself is a constantly moving target, and where girls and women, especially, struggle to know who they are. Where societal confusion has naturally ensued from this state of affairs, and Christians especially wonder how to think and respond to it, Katie J. McCoy offers a clear and helpful guide in her debut book, To Be a Woman.

Truth offered with grace about an important topic
Revisado: 12-06-23
Dr. McCoy does a great job laying out the facts and discussing a truly horrible issue facing young people today. She does not retreat from Scriptural truth because of cultural pressure, but brings to light the truly evil affliction brought on by the trans ideology. She does this with expressing love and compassion. This book models a response I believe all Christians should strive for. Stand firm in the truth, do not waver from the pressure, but show those who disagree the honor and respect due anyone made in the image of God. Our fight is not against flesh and blood, it is against the demonic influence in our world. Even those who oppose our message and seek to destroy us are not ultimately the enemy, they are the object of the rescue mission. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Historia
How did the idea arise that masculinity is dangerous and destructive? Bestselling author Nancy Pearcey leads you on a fascinating excursion through American history to discover why the script for masculinity turned toxic—and how to fix it. Pearcey then turns to surprising findings from sociology. Religion is often cast as a cause of domestic abuse. But research shows that authentically committed Christian men test out as the most loving and engaged husbands and fathers. They have the lowest rates of divorce and domestic violence of any group in America.

This is a great book!
Revisado: 11-15-23
This was a a great listen filled with important information which gives a sense of challenge. We can all do better and point each other to Jesus. We need to stop the "us vs them" mentality when it comes to male to female relationships and work together as the body of Christ to build each other up and leave a better future for the coming generations.

Very well done and amazing apologetic!
Revisado: 08-27-23
I wish I had been more acquainted with Nancey Pearcey's work earlier on. While I have studied apologetics for many years, I had not come across "Total Truth." It was fantastic and has given me more ideas for my apologetics presentations. I was able to meet her in person at a conference recently. She is genuine, and that makes me even more excited to recommend her work!

Historia
America has passed a tipping point. A majority of Americans now say that truth is up to the individual and that ultimate truth cannot be known. Learning to "speak our own truths" was supposed to lead to dignity and harmony. Instead, our society struggles with unprecedented levels of social conflict, purposelessness, and loss of identity. And still, the "Truth versus truths" tension continues to grow. Is all hope lost? In this inspiring book, Dr. Jeff Myers tells the fascinating stories of Jesus—followers who lived for Truth and transformed their world in times of crisis.

I thought it was very well written, but the reader mispronounced a lot of words, so I only gave a 4 for the "performance." The content of the book is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

Historia
Is it wrong to doubt? Many Christians assume that doubt is faith's opposite and that wandering among the hard questions of faith will lead us further and further away from God. True believers, the assumption goes, never waver in their confidence in the fundamental truths of the Christian faith. Professor and philosopher Travis Dickinson disagrees. Instead, he says, our doubts and hard questions about the faith are actually an important way we can express our commitment and love to God.

It was a thought-provoking read! Dr. Dickinson does well to give explanations that are easy to understand whether you're a scholar or have rarely read a book. I encourage everyone who is interested in the possibility of Christianity being true and those who want to be better at defending their Christian faith: Read this book!

Excellent resource in Christian Apologetics
Revisado: 04-11-22
The authors lay out a lot of facts and even go into details that some might not expect. It gives a lot of information, so anyone new to these arguments may want to take their time going through it and perhaps reread (or listen to) it. At the end there are also a lot of helpful tips for sharing this information with nonbelievers warnings about getting off track in the discussion and communicating these truths with the right heart.
This is a great resource, I highly recommend it!

Right now, there is a real spiritual battle going on in the unseen realm. Every Christian must equip themselves against the forces of darkness. Victory is possible when we use the full armor of God described in Ephesians 6. In Pastor Phil Hopper’s first book, Defeating the Enemy, he helped identify the devil’s strategies.

Interesting Book, Poor Production
Revisado: 01-11-22
I liked the book for the most part. Very interesting and though provoking. But it seemed as if the chapters repeated constantly. I'm not sure if that was due to a duplicate recording or what, but this book was half as long because of it. The reader also seemed to stumble on a few passages a couple times.

Historia
More teens are turning away from the faith than ever before: It is estimated that 75 to 88 percent of Christian teens walk away from Christianity by the end of their freshman year of college. Something must be done. Family Driven Faith equips Christian parents with the tools they need to raise children biblically in a post-Christian, antifamily society. Voddie Baucham, who with his wife has overcome a multigenerational legacy of broken and dysfunctional homes, shows that God has not left us alone in raising godly children.

I may not agree entirely on his perspective, and I would love to sit down and discuss that with him. But he provides a great, thought-provoking explanation of how he sees how Christian families should operate.
I highly recommend this book for consideration, and I recommend people study Scripture to see how they would compare what is being said with the Biblical mandates. God bless!

For over a century, we've accepted the scientific consensus that cancer results from genetic disease due to chromosomal damage in cell nuclei. But what if scientists are chasing a flawed paradigm? What if cancer isn't a disease of damaged DNA but rather of defective metabolism as a result of mitochondrial dysfunction? What if that startling truth could revolutionize our understanding of other diseases, too - and show us a radical new path to optimal health?
