I loved this book, Elizabeth!
Revisado: 03-14-15
I found a new hero because of the masterful writing of Elizabeth Chadwick. She is a true historian and storyweaver.

Historia
The Bayeux Tapestry is the world's most famous textile: an exquisite 230-foot-long embroidered panorama depicting the events surrounding the Norman Conquest of 1066. It is also one of history's most mysterious and compelling works of art. This haunting stitched account of the battle that redrew the map of medieval Europe has inspired dreams of theft, waves of nationalism, visions of limitless power, and esthetic rapture.

Great information, sometimes hard to follow.
Revisado: 12-21-14
The details and information are the best part of this book, from the author standpoint. I sometimes got lost when he would digress to another time frame, and sometimes all that information was just too much to keep track of. The performance was wonderful, though, and I will look for more of his readings.
I'll leave this short and sweetly right here....

Historia
When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself. Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

Excellent story, but uncomfortable voice
Revisado: 08-25-13
Where does Eragon rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Eragon is high in my list of books, and is exactly my preference of audiobook genre.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character is Angela, because of her eccentricities.
Which character – as performed by Gerard Doyle – was your favorite?
Myrtagh (please excuse the spelling, I haven't seen the name) would be one of my favorites for Gerard Doyle's reenactment.
Any additional comments?
I wish Mr. Doyle hadn't tried to disguise Safira's (pardon the spelling) voice. It grated on me.
