The first two thirds of the novel are engaging and fun. The final third takes forever to wind down the story, with the inevitable ending. It became very predictable and boring.

I wanted to love this book. But nothing happened and the unlikeable characters were so awful I could not finish. How many flashbacks to one abusive relationship do we really need? We get it, the aunt was awful, the friend is a narcissistic racist. But making readers experience that over and over and over without any growth or development is just tedious. Horrible book.
