Historia
Walt Disney left behind big dreams when he died in 1966. Perhaps none was greater than the hope that his son-in-law, Ron Miller, would someday run his studio. Under Miller’s leadership, Disney expanded into new frontiers: global theme parks, computer animation, cable television, home video, and video games. Despite these innovations, Ron struggled to expand the Disney brand beyond its midcentury image of wholesome family entertainment, even as times and tastes evolved.

wonderful book!
Revisado: 04-16-25
The value of the history of the disney company is amazing. It was a little confusing when the book references time periods that jumped around to different decades. I would have appreciated a chronological approach so I didn't get lost and would be able to follow the characters better.

Historia
Part autobiography, part self-help, part confession, part celebration of being a common-or-garden woman, part collection of synonyms for nunny, Sarah Millican's debut audiobook delves into her super normal life with daft stories, funny tales and proper advice on how to get past life's blips - like being good at school but not good at friends, the excitement of IBS and how to blossom postdivorce.

Loved this book!
Revisado: 11-17-22
I discovered Sarah Millican on tiktok and love her! Her narration made me laugh out loud so many times in my car, other drivers must have thought I was nuts. Shortly after finishing her book, I found she was visiting LA and bought tickets. I appreciate Sarah's honest and unapologetic approach to this book, but some more delicate personalities might be put off by her direct and colorful view of her history. I have great respect for self made women who don't rely on excuses or blame others for their lot in life. Sarah is quick to point out that it takes a lot of hard work to find success. Boldly sharing her personal experiences and acceptance of her own flaws as a work in progress, make her a Champion to me and all other independent women with a salty sense of humor.
