Historia
Receptionist Pam Beesly and accountant Angela Martin had very little in common when they toiled together at Scranton’s Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. But, in reality, the two bonded in their very first days on set and, over the nine seasons of the series’ run, built a friendship that transcended the show and continues to this day.

This was an incredibly heartfelt and beautifully written and narrated book. I loved all the stories and hearing two best friends who genuinely love each other and the show they worked in together so much.

Historia
I'm Halliday Valentine, a psychic witch who's recently moved from New York City back to my very human hometown of Marshmallow Hollow, where I run the family factory that caters to all things Christmas. Digby Dainty (known as Hobbs), the tall drink of water who rents my guest cottage, and I have a lot in common, including a love of true crime. So as macabre as it sounds, when a shady real estate tycoon shows up dead in the middle of the annual ice festival, I'm thrilled to spend time with Hobbs, flexing our amateur sleuthing skills.

Fabulous Start to a New Series!
Revisado: 12-03-21
I loved this book! I am a huge Christmas fan and Dakota Cassidy fan and cozy mystery fan so I was very excited when I found this series. I loved the characters and development. The plot was interesting. It didn’t take very long to get into but wasn’t rushed in any way either.
I like Hollie Jackson as a narrator and thought she did quite a wonderful job with this book.

Revisado: 02-01-17
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this series. Although just posting the review now, I got this directly after it came out because I had been counting down the days until it was released. This has to be my favorite series I've ever read/listened to. There were a few parts towards the end of the book where the narrator could be heard making comments to the director so that could have been fixed but honestly to me, that did not ruin or really effect my view of the book. I can not wait until the next book. I am so excited for wedding and hope that it can happen in the next book. I really don't know what else to say about this book except that I thought it was amazing!!!! I hope they're are many more to come still.

Anna Kendrick's autobiographical collection of essays amusingly recounts memorable moments throughout her life, from her middle-class upbringing in New England to the blockbuster movies that have made her one of Hollywood's most popular actresses today. Expanding upon the witty and ironic dispatches for which she is known, Anna Kendrick's essays offer her one-of-a-kind commentary on the absurdities she's experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture.

Fabulous story
Revisado: 02-01-17
Scrappy Little Nobody is a wonderful audiobook. I think I enjoyed it more in audioook form than I would've if I had read it any other way because the author, Anna Kendrick, read the story herself. I really like when authors read their own books because I feel like the reader gets more of an experience of how the author meant the book to read. They are able to express the inflections where they meant them and put all the emotion they felt when writing the book into reading it. Overall, I really liked this book and would definitely recommend it to others if they like Anna Kendrick that is.

Historia
Single mom Hayley Powell is barely keeping her leaking roof over her head when her boss at the Island Times gives her a new assignment - taking over the paper's food column. Hayley's not sure she has the chops - she's an office manager, not a writer, even if her friends clamor for her mouth-watering potluck dishes. But the extra income is tempting, and Hayley's chatty first column is suddenly on everyone's menu - with one exception. When rival food writer Karen Appelbaum is found face-down dead in a bowl of Hayley's creamy clam chowder, all signs point to Hayley.

Pretty great series start!
Revisado: 01-11-17
Death of a Kitchen Diva was a pretty good read. I liked the story and the characters. I think Hayley was a great main character. She handled getting arrested and investigating the murder really well, while still managing to take care of her children and be a friend and maintain her job.
I think this was a good start to the series and I look forward to continuing on with this series. This was my first Lee Hollis title and so far I have no complaints. I am always on the lookout for another cozy mystery to read (or in this case listen to) and this was definitely not a disappointment.
I do have one little tip about the narrator, Tara Ochs, I have listened to her before and when she first starts the book she sounds a little robotic like one of the voices on a gps system but after the first chapter you don't even notice and overall I think she does a pretty great job narrating.
I would highly recommmend this book if you like culinary cozy mysteries.

Entertaining!
Revisado: 01-06-17
To be quite honest I am not always a fan of vampire books. I find the whole back story and history of vampires to be quite boring but this book gave enough history to know what was going on while still making the plot of the story the focus. I think the characters were great, all quite unique in regards to each other.
The narrator of this book, Nancy Wu, did a really good job. Her animation was great and the differences between her voices for the characters was noticeable, which I quite enjoyed.
Overall it was a pretty entertaining story that gave me a few laughs and made listening to while working a good choice.

Great cozy mystery!
Revisado: 01-02-17
Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye was a nice little surprise for me. It is the first book by Victoria Laurie that I've read and I will definitely read more. I am not usually into stuff involving psychics or stuff of that nature but it was a really good read. A nice cozy mystery to listen to through my work day.
There was a little bit of romance between Abby and the detective Dutch Rivers which was nice but the focus remained more on the mystery which I very much enjoyed. Overall a good, easy listen.

Such a cute story!
Revisado: 05-15-16
First off I want to say that I stumbled upon this story by chance. I subscribe to Audible and there was a deal and this was one of the stories to choose from, I like cute, love stories so I went for it. I am incredibly glad that I did because not only did I enjoy this book, I have gone on to other Jennifer Crusie books and have enjoyed them just as much.
I really liked Daisy as a character. I found her to be a quite refreshing character with all her quirks. I actually found myself wishing I could be a little more free-spirited like her. I enjoyed Linc's character as well and thought that they were made for each other whether they wanted to admit at first or not. I found Linc to be a little irritating at times only when he was talking to that blonde at the school. He ever knew that he kind of liked Daisy but because she wasn't his "type" he disregarded her for the time being for the blonde because she was his "type". I'm glad he got over that because honestly Daisy was way better.
I liked the how the relationship eventually developed not only among Daisy and Linc but among Linc and Daisy and their mothers. I thought that was some nice character relationship development.
Overall, I highly enjoyed listening to this book and and am so glad that I stumbled upon it. It was a well written cute read.

Great listen!
Revisado: 05-01-16
This is the second book that I have listened to by Jennifer Crusie and other authors as well but my draw to this book was because Jennifer Crusie's name was attached. I really enjoyed this book. I particularly enjoyed all the characters. I loved Abby, Shar, and Daisy and all their dogs, Bailey, Wolfie, and Bowser. One of my favorite parts about the book was since I listened to it, I was able to hear all the different voices that the narrator did. She was a very excellent narrator. I really liked this book becuase while there were some really great love scenes between the characters it was also a big focus on the goddesses and the relationship between the three of them and how they have to work together in order to combine their powers and defeat the goddess that has tried to destroy them.
I also liked how it was the girls that was able to fix everything rather than the male characters in this book. While the guys did try and help it was ultimately the girls that took care of everything in the end and I did appreciate that about this book.
Overall I thought it was a really good well written book. I think it was long but not too long and it didn't drag it all. It moved along nicely and I did like the dogs and all their characteristics and conversations. I think it was a nice added part to the book.

I thought that this book was amazing. Honest, well-spoken and I loved that Leah Remini narrated the book herself so that the listeners could hear her inflections as well as just the words she had written. I would recommend this book to pretty much anybody. It is fascinating and brave that she has gone through so much and chose to remain doing what she thought was right and writing this book. Much respect to her!
