Historia
I’m a full-time single dad to three daughters and CFO at Cloverleigh Farms. I don’t have time to fall in love - I’m too busy trying to run a business, keep the red socks out of the white laundry, and get the damn pillowcases on without owing a dollar to the swear jar. Sure, Frannie Sawyer is beautiful and sweet, but she’s 27, the boss’ daughter, and my new part-time nanny - which means she’s completely off-limits. It’s bad enough I can’t stop fantasizing about her. What kind of jerk would I be if I acted on the impulse to kiss her?

Same old story we've heard a million times...
Revisado: 04-07-19
I wanted to get in to a series - and sadly each book in this series is about a different connected couple. Boo.
This story started out great and believably...and then it turned in to rabbit sex and all of a sudden talk of marriage and got super cheeseball.
If you love a boring, unrealistic cliche with a side of sex a real life couple like this would NEVER...this book is it!

Characters Amplified...and annoying
Revisado: 04-07-19
Love where it picks up, but the characters just seem like caricatures of themselves.
Lots of junior high drama...and porn like sex for someone who just got de-virginized and is "in love".
Tessa had zero backbone and all Hardin wanted to do was bone.
Where is this story going?!

Did someone else write this?!
Revisado: 04-07-19
Can't say enough great things about the narrators...
This book seemed so far from the first if you told me someone was else wrote it I would believe you.
Hardin was basically a rapist/sex addict...and Tessa was a whiny 5-year-old who lacked any kind of common sense. Not the same characters from the first book I fell in love with .
Where is this story going?! So many looooong and unnecessary details that have nothing to do with the forward moving of the story.
Pretty disappointing.

There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything After... Life will never be the same. #Hessa... Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way. But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.

Historia
Talking to other people isn't Kate Bailey's favorite activity. She'd much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school's podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she'll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible. Then the podcast gets a call from an anonymous guy, asking for advice about his unnamed crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is gorgeous Diego Martinez, and even surer that the girl in question is Alana.

The narrator did a great job and this book is much better than it sounds...just ok though. Love the characters but the believability of it went too far left. The Homelife was a little sister-wivesee for me.

Historia
Seventeen-year-old Abby Turner's summer isn't going the way she'd planned. She has a not-so-secret but definitely unrequited crush on her best friend, Cooper. She hasn't been able to manage her mother's growing issues with anxiety. And now she's been rejected from an art show because her work "has no heart". So when she gets another opportunity to show her paintings, Abby isn't going to take any chances. Which is where the list comes in. Abby gives herself one month to do 10 things, ranging from face a fear (three) to learn a stranger's story (five) to fall in love (eight).

Historia
I've hated Rachel Dawson since I was seven years old. My next-door neighbor and number-one sworn enemy - she's the reason why almost all of our childhood fights ended with me setting something of hers on fire. (Or, vice versa.) She snitched on me when I broke curfew. I snitched on her when she lied about having a boyfriend. We went back and forth like this throughout high school, both vowing to never talk to each other again when we went off to college. But that was until she showed up at my apartment during my senior year and asked me for a temporary place to stay.

Don't believe the hype
Revisado: 03-05-19
It started out funny and cute and just got completely ridiculous. Clearly the author has never been to college and learned about sex from porn. I get it's fiction...but believable people/characters don't talk like that, act like that, etc. - completely absurd. I made it halfway thru and turned it off. Save your $

I have loved Channing Monroe all my life. In first grade, he asked for my Trapper Keeper. I hit him in the head with it. Third grade, we were best friends. We kissed in seventh grade. In eighth grade, he turned into a bad boy and the rest was a tumultuous storm. Growing up, the problem was never love for us. Bad times. Good times. There were times when I felt our love in every inch of my body, vibrating, making me feel like it could bring me back to life. The problem was us. The problem is that we're living in two different worlds now. Fallen Crest and its millionaires for me.

Lame Gang
Revisado: 02-14-19
The description and reviews are amazing so how could I not purchase!?
Struggled to make it a quarter of the way thru - Channing (while a great performance and beautiful voice) was way too old of a voice for this.
While I could get past that, the lame attempt to talk about "gangs/crews" was laughable. The Jets and the Sharks breaking in to dance had more street believability.
Hard pass for me.

Leighton is my best friend. My subordinate. My girlfriend. That's the story we're selling. To our co-workers. To our friends. To everyone who's anticipating the breakdown of the year at my ex's wedding. It's a terrible idea. Then Leighton slides her hands into my hair and presses her berry lips to mine. And all that wrong fades to right. I stop pretending. I forget the woman who broke my heart. I forget our rules. I forget I'll be lost without her. I kiss her back like I'll never get enough. I won't. But I can't risk losing my best friend. Even if she's the woman who might finally unlock my heart.

Gwen Castle's Biggest Mistake Ever, Cassidy Somers, is slumming it as a yard boy on her idyllic Nantucket-esque island this summer. He's a rich kid from across the bridge in Stony Bay, and she hails from a family of fishermen and housecleaners who keep the island's summer people happy. Gwen worries a life of cleaning houses will be her fate too, but just when it looks like she'll never escape her past - or the island - Gwen's dad gives her some shocking advice.

Don't waste 12 hours
Revisado: 12-01-18
The narrator is fantastic but this story DRAGS for almost 3/4ths of the entire thing before any kind of character storyline happens.
It rambles on and on and on with chapters about the couch (named Myrtle ?) and confusing flashbacks.
At the end I had dedicated almost 13 hours for about 15 mins of actual story.
I LOVED My Life Next Door, sadly this was a book full of potentially fascinating characters doing something nothing at all for endless chapters or something beyond cheeseball at best.
Pass this up!
