I have had this series in print for a very very long time, yet I never got around to reading them. i have had the series on audible for a very long time,yet still never got to it.. having over 900 books in audible alone, I still found an excuse for not starting this monster. I believe that is a good thing,because after listening to books for over 80hrs a week (thank you work) I can say that this is one of the great fantasy adventure novels of our time. The writing is beautiful,characters are great. I really have nothing negative to say except- why is there not another 1,000 hrs of this world avail for me to dive into. Thank you TW & our great narrator Andrew Wincott who brings such life to the world

I loved the Mountain Man series, then stumbled upon this beautiful gem. At first I was not too excited to read about gladiator fights, but oh wow,thank the lords I drive trucks all night! After 30 mins I was completely hooked. I have hundreds of titles on audible & no lie this so far after my 1st book is in my top 6 series of all. Already purchased every title & about to start book 2. Do not hesitate,get started for an enjoyable journey

This is PFH @ his best. All these 1&2* reviews saying oh my head hurts there is too many characters, well I think we know that has nothing to do with the quality of PFH writing & more to do with the reader/listener. This book is amazing & brings me back to my first time listening to a PFH novel - Pandoras Star, blew me away & opened up a new world to me I could not believe I had not known of.. No, this is another masterpiece.
