I can’t go any farther. The virtual voice is awful!
Revisado: 03-16-24
The virtual voice is completely unacceptable! This sounded like a book I would like based on the description, but I just can’t go on with that unemotional voice with no differentiation in tone or voice. The can’t tell who’s talking most of the time.

Not that great.
Revisado: 11-05-23
The first story was boring and dragged on forever. I felt like the characters were unrelatable and were written in a way that made me think a psychologist was writing about them to demonstrate the correct way for people to handle conflict. The second story was the best in my opinion. The third story painted a very negative picture of humanity through the characters. Most of the characters were extremely flawed and hard to like. And the worst part of it was a little part in it that was meant to upset the reader about late term abortion, giving a situation that only the pro birth people would believe could happen! And it had absolutely no relevance to the story! I might’ve liked the story a little more without that ridiculous inclusion.

Prejudiced
Revisado: 09-23-23
I found this story to be engrossing, eye opening about the dangers of adverse possession laws, and I really felt for the main characters. I got pretty tired of the overall feeling that white people were the enemy at every single turn! It was a very negative portrayal and I don’t think that it is right to portray any group of people as the enemy in every way like that. The story could’ve been told and have been much better without that being focused on.

Historia
Likable antiques dealer Joseph Bridgeman is back in the present and dreaming of a quiet life. But when a mysterious and enigmatic time traveler arrives in his shop, Joe learns that his first trip was just the beginning and this time, the rules of the game have changed. Blackmailed into accepting a new mission, Joe is flung back to 1960s London where he comes face-to-face with a ruthless gangster and witnesses the brutal murder of an innocent woman. Joe knows better than most that death can be reversed and the final chapter is sometimes where the story actually begins.

I liked this book, but the narrator made some strange choices.
Revisado: 06-23-23
I thought the story was entertaining and a good read. My question is why does the narrator use an American accent for the main character and his sister and a British accent for everyone else? Clearly this is set in England and everyone in it is English. I found that very confusing when I started listening to the first book in this series. I kept asking myself if Joe’s family had moved to England recently from America, but then when he gave Joe’s parents British accents I was confused again.
