Just what I needed to hear as a parent
Revisado: 02-18-24
I loved the way this book was written from the mom’s point of view and had the daughter’s input after each chapter. I loved hearing the personal stories and that I’m not alone in having a strong willed 15 year old daughter. The teen years have brought twists and turns we were not ready for, but hearing this book reminds me that living our children unconditionally, giving them grace, speaking life into them, and gently guiding them is what’s most important. Thank you to the author and her daughter.💛

As God allows us to understand the mystery and marvel of brain science, we have the exciting opportunity to reexamine our assumptions about human behavior. Perhaps nowhere does this impact our lives more profoundly than when we think about raising children - especially teenagers. Where parents often see a sweet boy or girl who has morphed into an incomprehensible bundle of hormones and angst, what we really ought to be seeing is an amazing young adult whose brain is under heavy construction.
