WOW!! Excellent Debut Novel!!

I never leave bad reviews....but

This was a debut novel, but with the resume the author lists on his website, I was still hopeful, unfortunately it felt like a poorly researched B action movie. There were so many falsehoods and unrealities that it completely took me out of the story. The twist was predictable, and the antagonist was so cliche, "quotes a Bible verse" oh look, there's the bad guy. Also, (SPOILER) bags of fertilizer don't explode by themselves, even when you hit them with a grenade, the big climax was so unbelievable it just made me shake my head. Not trying to crap on a guy's first publication, but, either know what you're talking about or do your research. The narrator was good, but that was about it, and it just wasn't enough.

Unfortunately the 10 realms died in the 5th for me

I really enjoyed the first five books, they were well written and well performed. Unfortunately the new narrator just isn't up to delivering the story with the same passion Todd did. I powered through the first part of The 6th Realm, hoping i could get passed the uninspired performance, but I couldn't get past the first couple chapters of this. The monotonous delivery made it hard to differentiate characters and really lacked the passion the make the story interesting. I'm betting the book is just as well written as the first 5, so I may check out a written version, but I won't be buying anymore of this series performed by the new narrator.
