Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Amazing performance
Revisado: 04-12-25
the voice acting and production is really great. it's one of those books that "read" better as an audible book. the voice effect really adds to the characters personality

Glen Runciter runs a lucrative business - deploying his teams of anti-psychics to corporate clients who want privacy and security from psychic spies. But when he and his top team are ambushed by a rival, he is gravely injured and placed in "half-life," a dreamlike state of suspended animation. Soon, though, the surviving members of the team begin experiencing some strange phenomena, such as Runciter's face appearing on coins and the world seeming to move backward in time.

Hand down the best Sci Fi Book I have EVER read
Revisado: 04-28-20
This book is an amazing introduction to Philip K Dick - perhaps the greatest sci fi author ever lived.
The whole book read and feels like you are dreaming through time and give you a creeping feeling of existential crisis.
The performance of the audio book was amazing. The voices and impression was on point. Overall I cannot recommend this enough.

In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days. When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.

r/notlikeothergirls & annoying main guy
Revisado: 01-19-20
Struggled to finish this book. Such an interesting premise but it just became a very tedious 80's...wank. I get it, the 80's was great blah blah. No need to have pages and pages describing some tvshows which add no value to those who has seen them and those who hasnt seen them. Would be a much better book had the author didnt focus 90% of the time describing some nostalgic stuff from the 80's. Also the female character of this book like many of its genre is very r/menwritingwomen. and the main guy r/niceguy "She's damaged but I like her anyway because Im such a nice guy"

Historia
What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.

Bait and Switch Story
Revisado: 01-19-20
I thought this book was suppose to be a fresh take and comedic take on what NPCs in games have to deal with and their thoughts on player characters...
Instead what you get is a run of the mill fantasy adventure (not even a good one at that..). I couldnt even finish the book once it became apparently what direction this book was taking.
Would have loved to read the book that was in the sypnosis. But this isnt it.

In 1912, scientist Marie Curie spent two months on the British seaside at the home of Hertha Ayrton, an accomplished mathematician, inventor, and suffragette. At the time, Curie was in the throes of a scandal in France over her affair with Paul Langevin, which threatened to overshadow the accomplishment of her second Nobel Prize. Performed by Kate Mulgrew and Francesca Faridany at the Minetta Lane Theatre, this play by Lauren Gunderson is an ode to two remarkable women.

Really Great Voice Performance
Revisado: 01-13-20
This is more of a playwright than an audible but the voicing were wonderful and well casted. The story and script itself were quite good as well and you learned alot about Marie Curie and Hertha Ayton

Historia
Random House presents the audiobook edition of The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa, read by George Blagden. The tender feelgood story of a man's journey around Japan with a streetcat. Translated by Philip Gabriel, a translator of Murakami. It's not the journey that counts but who's at your side. Nana is on a road trip, but he is not sure where he is going. All that matters is that he can sit beside his beloved owner, Satoru, in the front seat of his silver van. Satoru is keen to visit three old friends from his youth, though Nana doesn’t know why, and Satoru won’t say.

A moving tale about life journey and being a cat
Revisado: 01-11-20
The book itself was very touching and I cried at the ending. The narrator was absolutely perfect for the book and he did an amazing job for all the characters.
Highly recommended.

On the face of it, Rebecca Bloomwood has it all. Confident, single, and happily living in Fulham, she's a financial journalist who spends her days writing articles advising other people on the importance of budgeting and prudent investment. Her private life is a different story though: Rebecca manages her own finances in a way that would make most of her readers' hair curl. Don't expect this to be as charming as the movie
Revisado: 03-05-19
Unlike a lot of reviewers, I actually prefer the movie over the book in many ways. Rebecca's character is a lot more likeable in the movie thanks to Isla Fisher performance.
It's still a decent chick lit book but dont expect it to be as charming as the movie. Rebecca didnt really learn a whole lot by the end of the book.

Another fun read from Kevin Kwan
Revisado: 01-17-19
A nice conclusion to the Crazy Rich Series, the quality of the book definitely has not decrease. If anything, I find the story telling in the third book to be quite good. Mostly because of Su Yi character plot. Fans of the series will surely like this.

Historia
Crazy Rich Asians is the outrageously funny debut novel about three super-rich, pedigreed Chinese families and the gossip, backbiting, and scheming that occurs when the heir to one of the most massive fortunes in Asia brings home his ABC (American-born Chinese) girlfriend to the wedding of the season. When Rachel Chu agrees to spend the summer in Singapore with her boyfriend, Nicholas Young, she envisions a humble family home and quality time with the man she might one day marry.

So fun and reminds me of old TVB dramas
Revisado: 01-11-19
This book is so fun! If you love the movie then you will surely enjoy this. The book expand and changes some parts of the movie but nothing feels like fillers.
The voice actress is great, she puts on different voices and accent for each character which really makes it more colourful. Overall, a great production.

Historia
A sharp, witty, and hugely entertaining debut novel, The Devil Wears Prada is The Nanny Diaries set in the world of high fashion. Welcome to the dollhouse, baby! When Andrea first sets foot in the plush Manhattan offices of Runway she knows nothing. She's never heard of the world's most fashionable magazine, or its feared and fawned-over editor, Miranda Priestly.

Fun read but quite shallow
Revisado: 11-01-17
This book is a fun, mindless listen (loved the performance) but don't expect it to be as good as the movie. The character Andy is ALOT more whiny and annoying here and never really had a "turnaround" moment like she does in the movie. And the character Miranda is very one dimensional and unlike in the movie as well - she's just a "bitch" and that's it. Not much depth to her character beyond that which is a shame.
