Historia
In The Bible Is a Catholic Book, Jimmy Akin shows how the Bible cannot exist apart from the church. In its origins and its formulation, in the truths it contains, in its careful preservation over the centuries, and in the prayerful study and elucidation of its mysteries, Scripture is inseparable from Catholicism. This is fitting, since both come from God for our salvation. If you're a Catholic who sometimes gets intimidated by the Bible, The Bible Is a Catholic Book will help you better understand and take pride in this gift that God gave the world through the church.

Historia
The well-known and very popular Catholic couple, Scott and Kimberly Hahn, have been constantly travelling and speaking all over North America for the last few years about their conversion to the Catholic Church. Now, these two outstanding Catholic apologists tell in their own words about the incredible spiritual journey that led them to embrace Catholicism. Written with simplicity, charity, grace and wit, the Hahns' deep love and knowledge of Christ and of scripture is evident and contagious throughout their story.

Incredible story
Revisado: 06-13-21
This is a fascinating story of people who say they are Bible Christians and take the Bible for the actual word of God. They did not conform the Bible to their beliefs but conformed their life to what they were learning in the Bible.
They do their best to do what ever God is calling them to do and are willing to sacrifice almost anything. Kimberely‘s story is extremely moving and her openness in describing her pain and suffering was gripping and gut wrenching.
My only criticism is the narrator did not seem to have read the original book and did not pronounce a lot of words correctly.

Historia
The world hates the Church that Jesus founded, just as He said it would (John 15:18). It reviles her doctrines, mocks her moral teachings and invents lies about her history. In every age, but especially in our modern day, historians and political powers have distorted the facts about her past (or just made up novel falsehoods from scratch) to make the Church, and the civilization it fostered, seem corrupt, backward, or simply evil.

A book that every serious Catholic should have and know and pass on
Revisado: 12-14-20
Very well written and easy to follow, I have heard some of the fabrications of the history of the Church but this book explains the true stores. I was disappointed not to find any of her other books available on audible so I will go old-school and read her other books

Historia
A gifted storyteller and spiritual director, Father James Martin, SJ, invites listeners to experience the stories of the Gospels in a completely new, vivid, and exciting way to gain a deeper understanding of Jesus. Moving sequentially through the Gospels, considering not only familiar passages but also the "hidden life" of Jesus, the book offers a bold retelling of the life of Christ, faithful to the Christian tradition, while meditating on parts of the narrative that have often escaped notice.
