This novel was required reading in 9th grade literature class, 1984-85 school year. A good read then, an excellent listen in 2023.

On a collision course with this

In April 1992 I had a short conversation with an older gentleman at the MHS base club. I was in my early 20s. He told me that in 25-30 years, the United States would be a very socialist if not out right communist country. He cited a few examples of government over-reach and how liberal American education, especially higher education. In August of 1991, the USSR cease to exist and became the CIS/Russian Federation. The Spirit of the Laws By Baron De Montesquieu

Overall the book was boring; if you're working on a law degree might have a better understanding of it. There are a few interesting parts. Lots about Medieval Central Europe law. The recording was from analog tapes, so there are lots of repeated sentences at about the 30 minutes marks through out the reading. Good luck.

The Aquitaine Progression well written complex

The Aquitaine Progression is a well written, complex, somewhat confusing international thriller intrigue novel written by a guy who used to do voices in commercials. The narrator, Rob Shapiro does an outstanding job with the voices of the many characters in the book. German, French, Dutch and a sprinkling of a few other European languages are throughout the novel. It's worth a read. Rest in peace, Mr. Ludlum.

The Parsifal Mosaic complex confusing well written

The Parsifal Mosaic is a well written, complex, somewhat confusing Cold War spy novel written by a guy who used to do voices in commercials. The narrator, Scott Brick does a great job with the voices of the many characters in the book. Czech and Russian language are throughout the novel. It's worth a read. Rest in peace, Mr. Ludlum.

MIGHTY BY SACRIFICE by James L. Noles Sr. & Jr.

This is a book for the ages; a tribute to all Allied bomber crews who flew in WWII. If for just a moment, you can pull yourself away from the rush of daily life, go to a quiet place, fold your hands, bow your head and say a little prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord for putting men like them on this earth, to voluntarily go on these dangerous missions with uncertain outcomes but with the goal of ultimate victory.
