Good Info - But Trump as a Hero...tsk, tsk
Revisado: 06-22-23
Good basic information for people to start taking control of their financial situation. However, the USA is a credit nation, why shouldn't we take advantage of it, but use it wisely and pay it off. Also - Trump as one of your Heros? Really? The man is a thief, womanizer, and only does something for his own benefit--contradicting some of your own lessons and values.

Historia
But It’s Your Family is a remarkable account of what it means to cut ties to toxic family abuse and thrive in the aftermath. Loving someone doesn’t always mean having a relationship with them, just like forgiveness doesn’t always mean reconciliation. Reconciling, in many cases, only sets people up for more abuse. A significant part of healing comes with accepting that this is a part of life; there are some relationships that are so poisonous that they destroy one’s ability to be healthy and function best.

Graci, Thank You!
Revisado: 05-30-23
I recently had the pleasure of seeing Graci speak at a realtor's continuing education event on DEI. I'm from Lansing, Michigan, and grew up immersed in diverse cultures and situations. As a GenXr, we grew up watching Sesame Street and The Big Blue Marble - where did it all go sooooo wrong?! Thank you Graci for your courage to tell your story and to champion your own identity and beliefs. So many times we are held back from our true selves by the opinions of others and don't realize that we do have the strength within us to better our situation and to help others at the same time. I hope you weren't too late for that presentation at MSU after our meeting and that the Spartans treated right. Melissa J. King, CAP-OM, Virtual Assistant, www.1lasteye.com.

Unrealistic, but does have some merit.
Revisado: 08-26-22
I read both The Female Brain and The Male Brain by this author and learned a lot about human physiology, but they were missing the impact of an environment with a heavy male perspective. The Upgrade I found was similar in that I learned about my current physical changes and what can be done to help navigate this difficult period. I'm already doing everything suggested except for HT, I am not a fan of prescription drugs and prefer to use more holistic remedies. I was again struck by Louann's harshness toward men and her lack of empathy for their own transition.
I was the only female child of four siblings and the youngest. My father was the mother and father in my family, both parents worked, and eventually the marriage ended and so did my family as I knew it. Not every female has maternal instincts and cares for others - my mother wallowed in mental comorbidity my whole childhood and never sought help and interventions didn't work. We are estranged today because of it. My husband of over 30 years cooks, cleans, and works and his maternal instincts have always been higher than mine! The keys for both women and men through the transition are learning how and when to say NO (nicely!), exercising (and yes, sex at least once a week included), regulating food/drink, participating in non-isolating activity, and communicating your thoughts and feelings. And it doesn't have to be FDA-approved.
