Good but not what I expected

This was a very good book. It broke down the science on both sides of the argument of the existence of God. However, the author seems to be someone from a non religious background that believes in creation - but not the bible. In fact, he waves off almost all of the bible claiming that it's not literal, saying that obviously these miracles didn't happen because they break the laws of physics.

I found it interesting that someone who believes in a superior being that can create the universe and all of the laws of nature, but can't break them when it suits His purpose. It struck me as someone who is so steeped in the laws of physics that he couldn't see past them.

Beyond that, I highly recommend this book.

Good book - Unnecessary details and breaks

I like the Akart books, and this one was a good start to the series. However, he includes unnecessary detail and goes way into the weeds on some mundane things. Also, the narrator has a Texas drawl thing going, and while he's reading the lines of the Texans in the story, it works. But when he's reading the part of a North Korean, the Texas drawl doesn't work. My only other peeve is the chapter breaks. You'd think a chapter break would happen when the scene changes, but Akart very often breaks right in the middle of a scene. It's almost like he's got a character count going, and when he hits it, he breaks it into the next chapter.

All that said, if you're an Akart fan, you'll love this book. If you're a fan of this genre, you really like it.

Great book terrible narrator

I really enjoyed this book. It provided great insight into the back rooms of the campaign.

I gave the performance one star only because the option of -20 stars was not available.
