Historia
Dalinar Kholin challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions with the future of Roshar on the line. The Knights Radiant have only ten days to prepare—and the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian to take Odium’s place has thrown everything into disarray. Desperate fighting continues simultaneously worldwide—Adolin in Azir, Sigzil and Venli at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah in Thaylenah. The former assassin, Szeth, must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade.

Utterly Disappointing
Revisado: 01-10-25
I wish I’d never read it/listened to it. I considered each of the first three books of this series to be among the best books I’ve ever read. Mr. Sanderson seems to have lost his handle on this series. It’s way too long. The dialogue (never his strongest suit) is atrocious. All major characters deal with mental health issues that end up making their plot lines indistinguishable. He handles these issues in such a nauseatingly reductive way that I find it difficult to believe this is the same author as that of The Way of Kings, Words of Radiance, and Oathbringer. Having read and enjoyed nearly every book he’s written I’m sad to say this is the last time I’ll bother slogging through a 1300 page book/60+ hour audiobook by this author. The performers, Kate Reading and Michael Kramer, were excellent in this book as always, but I wish they’d narrated a much sharper, cleaner finale to this story arc.

Historia
Jill and Derick knew a normal life wasn’t possible for them. As a star on the popular TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting, Jill grew up in front of viewers who were fascinated by her family’s way of life. She was the responsible, second daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle’s nineteen kids; always with a baby on her hip and happy to wear the modest ankle-length dresses with throat-high necklines.

Tells her rough truths with grace
Revisado: 10-05-23
I would recommend this to anyone who watched all the Duggar family episodes and thought they were a perfect example of a good Christian family. Jill speaks frankly about a lot of issues she’s encountered with the IBLP community and how following that community and living her life on screen were harmful. She said a lot of things she needed to be shared and I respect her for going about it graciously. She still obviously loves her flawed family, but she doesn’t hold guiltless specific people or people groups who are responsible for detrimental harm to many.

Historia
Stephen R. Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, has been a top seller for the simple reason that it ignores trends and pop psychology for proven principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Celebrating its 15th year of helping people solve personal and professional problems, this special anniversary edition includes a new foreword and afterword written by Covey that explore whether the 7 Habits are still relevant and answer some of the most common questions he has received over the past 15 years.

Impressive knowledge shared
Revisado: 03-30-23
This will be a book that I reread multiple times. I was so impressed with the audible version that I bought the book and the study guide to “chew” on it more and delve deep. This book is only for those who are actively trying to improve themselves and their relationships. The principles behind these habits have been observed and noted by the author and by many throughout history. They also they just so happen to be biblically based, though he didn’t use the Bible to write them. Highly recommend.

Historia
In Merry England, in the time of old when good King Henry the Second ruled the land, there lived within the green glades of Sherwood Forest near Nottingham Town a famous outlaw whose name was Robin Hood. He stole from the rich and gave to the poor, and in so doing became an undying symbol of virtue.

A classic read by a master
Revisado: 11-26-22
Excellent collection of these classic stories. Simon Vance’s narration brings them to life as in every book he performs.
