Historia
Dick, a blunt and bawdy Philly sports fan, finds himself in an assisted living facility following a stroke. Determined to regain his independence, he does daily laps around the grounds with his quad cane. But when recovery never comes, and days swell into years, Dick finds purpose instead by studying his fellow residents, chronicling their odd obsessions and their nasty arguments, their breakdowns, their drunken debaucheries—and yes, even their sexual escapades.

Great Characters
Revisado: 07-20-23
The story is written from the point of view of Dick, the author's father, and tells the tale of his life in an assisted care facility. It is jam-packed with incredibly well crafted characters who will make you LOL, and shed a few tears, sometimes at the same time. I LOVE the narrator who is just perfect at bringing the book to life! As we audible lovers know a narrator can make or break a story and he definitely makes it. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Historia
Free Refills is the harrowing tale of a Harvard-trained medical doctor run horribly amok through his addiction to prescription medication, and his recovery. Dr. Peter Grinspoon seemed to be a total success: A Harvard-educated MD with a thriving practice; married with two great kids and a gorgeous wife; a pillar of his community. But lurking beneath the thin veneer of having it all was an addict fueled on a daily boatload of prescription meds. When the police finally came calling - after a tip from a sharp-eyed pharmacist - Grinspoon's house of cards came tumbling down fast.

Would love to hear his ex wife's side of the story
Revisado: 04-16-17
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Too much ranting about his uncaring ex wife. There are three sides to every story...his, hers, and the truth. I am sure living with an addict must be extremely hard
Any additional comments?
It was a great story that needs to be told. I just got fed up with how much time was spent berating his ex wife. While I do not know who she is, and she is referred to by a letter in the story, many people must know who she is so I feel bad for her. He said himself he left the house to go to his office to use many evenings. Guess that wasn't much fun for her!

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.
