Very good story
Revisado: 05-03-20
Very good story, you must always play close attention as there are many stories and many names to keep up with. I loved the story and the reader. I’m happy I found this a author he is a bit like John Grisham..

Historia
When the head of San Francisco's largest HMO dies in his own hospital, no one doubts that it is anything but the result of massive injuries inflicted by a random hit-and-run accident. But the autopsy soon tells a different story - an overdose of potassium killed him, and the attending physician, Eric Kensing, becomes the prime suspect in a high-profile homicide.

Good Book
Revisado: 07-28-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes I would, it is a good story.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Dismas and Glitsky I also really like Frannie.
What three words best describe Robert Lawrence’s voice?
I was not crazy about his narration, I liked the previous narrator much better.
Any additional comments?
This book was good, however, in this book we are led to believe that Glitzky was killed but in the next book Glitzky is alive, kinda different.

Sycamore Row

Historia
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

An awesome read, a ten star performance.
Revisado: 11-21-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Sycamore Row to be better than the print version?
Can't say, did not read the book. However, the audio is excellent, unlike reading, the audio gives a beautiful perception of all the characters. In my opinion there is only one other narrator equal to Michael Beck and that is Jim Hill.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sycamore Row?
I thought the most memorable part of this listen was learning the true history of Seth Hubbard's father and family.
Have you listened to any of Michael Beck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to many Michael Beck performances, this was as good if not better than the others.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It's hard to believe that people could be treated the way Letty's Grandfather was treated. I'm sure there were many people treated like that but this was a sad and emotional part of the story.
Any additional comments?
I would highly recommend this read/listen.

Historia
The Summons: Once Judge Atlee was a powerful figure in Clanton, Mississippi. Now the judge is a sick, lonely old man who has withdrawn to his sprawling ancestral home. Knowing the end is near, Judge Atlee has issued a summons for his two sons to return to Clanton to discuss his estate. The Brethren: They call themselves the Brethren: three disgraced former judges doing time in a Florida federal prison. In prison these judges-turned-felons can reminisce about old court cases, dispense a little jailhouse justice, and contemplate where their lives went wrong. Or they can use their time in prison to get very rich, very fast.

Great Performance
Revisado: 10-08-12
Would you consider the audio edition of The Summons & The Brethren to be better than the print version?
I did not read the print version, but the audio of the summons was great.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot in the summons kept you alert, the brethren left a lot to be desired.
What about Frank Muller and Michael Beck ’s performance did you like?
Both are excellent performers.
Any additional comments?
The summons was an excellent book, the brethren left me hanging. I would not purchase books which are connected together again, just did not like that format.
