Historia
"True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are." Social scientist Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW, has sparked a global conversation about the experiences that bring meaning to our lives - experiences of courage, vulnerability, love, belonging, shame, and empathy. In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization.

A fascinating listen.

Would you listen to Braving the Wilderness again? Why?
I would listen to Braving the Wilderness again because there were so many quotes and stories that I felt that I missed listening to just one time. I would probably be able to pick up a lot more information if I listened again.

Amazing research and case studies!
Revisado: 09-05-17
When I first saw this book, I thought it would be a self help book with ideas for how to get success for yourself. This book is more of a book of facts and you making your own assessment which is fine but just not what I thought I was getting.
The real life case stories and tests are incredibly fascinating and this book was well worth the read. Only downside is that it might not expecting offer what you were expecting.

One of The BEST Self-Help Books I've Ever Read!
Revisado: 01-06-17
If you could sum up Mastering Your Mean Girl in three words, what would they be?
I would sum up "MYMG" in the words: relatable , helpful, and fresh. Relatable because Melissa's own personal journey with her mean girl is easy to empathize with and see that she understands where her readers are coming from. Helpful because Melissa includes dozens of resources to help make new habits stick. The book is fresh because it's so positive while being in your face at the same time.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I said after I read it "That is the best self-help book I've ever read." I love the self-help genre and mostly just read self-help books so this says a lot.
Any additional comments?
I recommend this book to any woman from age 13 to age 80! Everyone woman could benefit from this book.

Historia
The first thing Sophia Amoruso sold online wasn’t fashion - it was a stolen book. She spent her teens hitchhiking, committing petty theft, and dumpster diving. By twenty-two, she had resigned herself to employment, but was still broke, directionless, and working a mediocre day job she’d taken for the health insurance. It was there that Sophia decided to start selling vintage clothes on eBay. Eight years later, she is the founder, CEO, and creative director of Nasty Gal, a $100 million plus online fashion retailer with more than 350 employees.
