What a great premise and I cant wait to see more of Leira's antics with her troll. Two worlds meet in a not so harmonious fashion but watching Leira take it all in and make it work is enough to drive me to the second book.

This was a good book. Very temperamental in its characters. Some of the book was a bit hard to follow but overall the premise was a good one. A bit like a magical John Wick.

Enticing and Exciting

I cannot wait to listen to the second book and beyond! I was a little leery of reading this book since generally speaking the first book an author writes can be a bit meh. However, if this is the meh -est book this author writes then I am completely excited to read the rest.
Bethany Anne is a kicka$$ powerful woman with a level of snark that I have only seen in one other author and I am loving it so much!
The new take on vampirism is a great diversion from the typical blah that is commercial vampires. I love origin stories and this origin story is epic.

The narrator shows lots of life and variation in voices to help with visualization. 5 stars all around!

Incredible Read

This was a mesmerizing read! I fell in love with the characters immediately and cannot wait for the second book! This book was full of snark and action from beginning to end. Liv is a bad@$$ and Plato was an instant favorite.

The narrator used a variety of different tones which helped keep the characters clear, the intonation was kept consistent. Excellent book to listen to.

An Incredible Series

Have you read the rest of the books in this universe? If not, go find them and listen/read them as well. You must be drawn into this character-driven universe and abide there with the rest of us. If you dream of a surly redheaded man be sure to listen to him when he says to read these books!

This particular series is a great twist on the author's normal books in this universe. I love love love werewolves and to have a scientific origin and a modern twist on werewolves is so much fun! I love every one of the members of the pack. They all draw you into their story and won't let you go until they have whispered the end into your ear. Buy this series and then go find the rest of the books by this author!

LOVE this series! Werewolves are a favorite of mine and I ADORE this take on werewolves!! TOTALLY enthralled! Still waiting for the return to the Dream Traveler Universe! So many tidbits in this series from the rest of the Dream Traveler Universe. I truly cannot wait for a return to this universe. I want to see more of this story - What happens with Mika? What exactly is the Dream Traveler Apocalypse? I need answers!

Story developing apace! What's next?

Incredible book! I am amazed by how much development the author contains in her books. I am also an avid reader from her very first book and I thoroughly enjoy the development of the author as well. Read this urban fantasy take on werewolves! Sci-Fi at its best!
I feel so bad by the end of this book but it is such a mixture of emotions. I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Second Book is Even More Exciting

Want a paranormal series that is not the norm?
For a story that develops the characters, a detail-rich world of epic proportions and a paranormal adventure that is sexy and hot without being all about chest beating/baring... this is the book for you! This book really takes you on an exciting ride! The second book of a series often has a difficult time transitioning but the author knocks it out of the park. The ride is fast paced and as always the characters are developing and finagling their way into the reader's heart. And Mika....is such a bad guy...but it's so hard for me because so many of the things he says have a tiny grain of truth in them. Such insidious behavior while being overtly evil at the same time. A conundrum!

Origin Story!!

Here we go again! Sarah Noffke has pulled me into yet another one of her series with a vengeance! We re-enter the Dream Traveler world on the tail end of Ren's last adventure. (cries sadly must read Ren series if you have not!) I am not sure how Sarah knew I loved origin stories and werewolves on top but I was like a kid in the candy store. The plotline hooked me all the way to the last page. As always, the character development is the real story here. The plot wound and twisted and I saw names from other Dream Traveler series (Eeek!!). I still want a timeline (need a timeline!) but the story was gripping and fast-paced. I love how the story unfolds and the characters build up to a crescendo. Zephyr is a strong leader but I do think that Connor may be my favorite in this novel! As the daughter/granddaughter of military men and an Army grunt myself, I appreciate how the military was not shown as 'only' hooah and how they were shown as genuine humans. As with all professions, not everyone is the same in the military. Love how the author took this and made it her own! Read this book if you love action, werewolves, and Dream Travelers!
