Rule of Law
Revisado: 09-20-24
I enjoyed listening to and having explained the law and the approach of the teams doing the investigation. Since Mr. Weissmann did talk about some items being redacted and in understand that in some areas I would understand it makes me wonder how much was taken out of the public report by Mr. Barr. My next read is the report by Mr. Mueller.

In Charlie Mike, Joe Klein tells the dramatic story of Eric Greitens and Jake Wood, larger-than-life war heroes who come home and use their military discipline and values to help others. This is a story that hasn't been told before, one of the most hopeful to emerge from Iraq and Afghanistan - a saga of lives saved, not wasted.

Loved listening to this book
Revisado: 01-08-16
Having been close to a family with a son who took his life I feel more informed having listened to this book and more informed if I have a chance to help someone else.

Historia
What Remains begins with loss and returns to loss. A small plane plunges into the ocean, carrying John Kennedy, Anthony's cousin, and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Carole's closest friend. Three weeks later Anthony dies of cancer. The summer of the plane crash, the four friends were meant to be cherishing Anthony's last days. Instead, Carole and Anthony mourned John and Carolyn, even as Carole planned her husband's memorial.

Historically Very Interesting
Revisado: 08-03-15
I found this to be very interesting from the historical standpoint and makes me think in some ways that we have moved very far but that in other ways that we still have a great distance to go.

Historia
Mariano Rivera, the man who intimidated thousands of batters merely by opening a bullpen door, began his incredible journey as the son of a poor Panamanian fisherman. When first scouted by the Yankees, he didn't even own his own glove. He thought he might make a good mechanic. When discovered, he had never flown in an airplane, had never heard of Babe Ruth, spoke no English, and couldn't imagine Tampa, the city where he was headed to begin a career that would become one of baseball's most iconic.

Historia
In Imperfect, Jim Abbot retraces his remarkable journey. Born without a right hand, Jim Abbott as a boy dreamed of being a great athlete. Raised in Flint, Michigan, by parents who saw in his condition not a disability but an extraordinary opportunity, Jim became a two-sport standout in high school, then an ace pitcher for the University of Michigan. But his journey was only beginning. By 21, he’d won the gold medal game at the 1988 Olympics and cracked the starting rotation of the California Angels....
