LOVED IT!
Revisado: 04-27-21
I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to listen to the remaining stories in this series. KELLEY ARMSTRONG sucks you into the story in seconds and you can't stop listening because you have to know what's going to happen next.
I really had trouble with the new narrator. I really don't understand why author's bring in someone new because it messes with the story. Carine Montbertrand began the series and she's done an exceptional job with the characters voices. She doesn't have a problem distinguishing each and every characters personality. You can hear it in their voices when Carine is telling the story.
I'm sure Julie Mckay is a great narrator just not for this series. Her voice was full, without life and it hurt the story a great deal. I found it very difficult to listen to her destroy all the great work Carine has done with the character's voices. You definitely could tell a huge difference between the two narrators.
Message to the author: When we as listeners listen to one narrator do a couple stories from a series we get used to the person. We know and understand the difference between a male and female's narration of character's voices. But when you bring in another narrator that makes it difficult for us to listen, especially when it's a narrator of the same sex. The first narrator has already established their voice and has given each character a personality. She understands the characters. I personally think it's a waste of money to hire the same sex narrators. You only needed the one and Carine brought life to it.

Great Story but Narration Could've Been Better!
Revisado: 03-22-21
I've really enjoyed this series and I love that I found a new
writerr. Rachel Higginson has done a great job with making you fall in love with the characters. I can't wait to start the next book . This is a series that I will definitely listen and re-listen to again and again. But I wasn't happy with the narrator and his telling of the story. I understand that money might be an issue or the writer thinks a male voice is needed for a story but I don't think it's always true. Is rather the writer save the money up until she has enough to pay the narrator's fee unless it's outrageous. In that case you'll have to start over with the narration of the stories. I think Bailey Carr did a fantastic job with the male voices. Honestly, she outdid the male narrator. I think everyone will agree with me. Stick with Bailey or if anything keep the same narrator throughout your series. I would've given it more stars but he killed it for me.
Josh Hurley has potential to become a great narrator but needs to work on his voices a lot more. Even the male accents weren't as good as they should've been and as far as the female accents go, well they were awful. I guess you need to practice more. I don't really know if you do that or not and if it helps.

Finding More Than Love in Mystic Bayou
Revisado: 11-09-18
I love how Molly Harper brings Mystic Bayou to life. I feel as if I'm there as I listen to her story. Molly has written another amazing story that is filled with so much life. The story has everything you want in a story. The characters are funny, you have the romance, adventure and mystery. This story captivates you right from the start. Before you give this story a listen go grab How to Date Your Dragon.
The narrator's Amanda and Jonathan did an exceptional job bringing this story to life. Their voices flowed and they kept me immersed in the story.
A great story! Wonderful listen! I highly recommend going to Mystic Bayou today!

Revisado: 10-13-17
I really enjoyed THE DANCING BRIDE by Cynthia Woolf. It was a sweet, clean historical romance. Cynthia did a great job describing Central City and how it was different than New York. I can't wait to listen to THE SAPPHIRE BRIDE and that's exactly what I'm listening to next.
The narrator did a really good job with the characters voices and she kept me immersed from start to finish.

It should have been a simple job. All archaeology student Jane Barnaby had to do was pick up a box her professor needed and deliver it to him at his dig site, along with his new car. Yes, his office was in Oxfordshire, and his dig site was in Spain, a trip of 1,400 miles across three countries and two bodies of water. Still, it should have been simple. And it was, until Jane discovered she picked up the wrong box by mistake.

The taste of POWER!

March 15, 2017 – Started Reading
Review OMG!! Okay, I absolutely LOVED the story. I think I may have gotten too emotional because I wanted to scream at times. I was actually outraged at Kate's attitude. At times I wanted to reach through my laptop and grab Ilona Andrews by her neck and shake her! I wanted to scream at her and tell her to knock it off that this wasn't how Kate was supposed to be or act. I never in my life got so wrapped in a story as I did with this book. I listened to many of the books in the series years ago but I relistened to them over from the first book to the last and LOVED them all over again. When I heard Kate and the way she wanted to kill much loved characters I was stunned and dumbfounded. I cried and cried as I heard the story. This story was very emotional for me. I was so used to all the bantering back and forth that I wasn't ready for what I was hearing. Ilona has brought me so many laughs that was what I expected and you just want get it with this story. Be prepared to scream, I did.
Narrator Renee Raudman did another stellar performance. I was glued to her every word. I could feel every emotion that Ilona expected and wanted a listener to have and get. I wanted to scream so much as I listened to her tell the story. Another 5 star performance.

The Beginning!!
Revisado: 02-14-17
I am so happy that Kim Harrison wrote another story that made me think of the Hollows! I honestly hated the last two books she has written. I was sad and upset that Rachel Morgan was gone but knew there was more story to tell. I actually read Kim's webpage and I know she was upset that her NEW stories The Perri Reed Chronicles didn't go so well. She was worried that her career as a writer was over. I left a message to let her know I tried the new stories but I just didn't like them. I even suggested that she write some stories about other characters in the story and their life before Rachel, others did to. I am just thrilled that she did.
This story shed some light to how it all began and it's a 5 star rating for sure. Kim if you read this just know that your fans of Rachel are pleased, I know I am. I hope you bring more stories of other characters to us. I love Marguerite Gavin and I think this is the only narrator you'll ever need so don't waste money for others. I'm still wishing your publisher would redo The Outlaw Demon Wails because I like to re-listen to all of your stories and the narrator just killed that story but you know this to.
Marguerite Gavin is absolutely wonderful! She always sounds perfect and her voice just lures you in. I have LOVED every story she's narrated for Kim Harrison. She is a very talented lady. Her voice is priceless for sure. Thank you both for a very enjoyable and interesting sixteen hours non-stop story!

A great series by author M.R. Forbes! I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I look forward to listening to the other series. The story captures every emotion and the characters are intriguing. This is a must listen to series!!
Narrator Jeff Hays is by far the best narrator that I've listened to in years. I guess you can call me a fan of his but even though I am, my review is unbiased. He does a fantastic job with distinguishing each characters voice. This young narrator is going places and authors he's worth every dollar! He is a very talented narrator and M.R. Forbes couldn't have chosen a voice to fit his stories any better than Jeff! Overall, a perfect 5 star rating!!!!

Revisado: 08-10-16
OMG....I LOVE, LOVED THIS STORY! Apryl Bakerthis story was breathtaking, captivating, and I WANT more, like now!! This is the type of story that will sale and in my honest opinion you need to write more in this genre. But, I want more Manwhore books and with all those brothers, well there's a story for each brother. Got you thinking? I hope you're thinking about just how many more Manwhore books you can write. So come on gf, what are you waiting on???? GIVE us more please. I will beg you daily to write more, lol. Now, what did i rate it? No need to wonder you know already, lmao.
The narrator Tia Sorensen did a great job. I won't lie and say it was perfect but it wasn't horrible. I was able to understand and identify the characters that were speaking throughout the story. She held my attention, she did what she set out to do. Great job!!
Give us more into this series! You have many brothers to unmake them manwhores to. OMG....best story I've heard all yes year and it's not even my normal genre, seriously I never listen to this type of story but I'm so happy I did. Sadly it's over and I NEED more now. Overall a PERFECT 5 star RATING!!!! I would give it 10 star but it won't let me. Everyone, if you love audios then you'll love this one, I promise you!

Ghostly
Revisado: 08-10-16
I honestly began listening to The Library first. I made it halfway through and realized there was a book that came before it. I backed up and then began listening to The Pit Stop. I found that it really didn't matter with either story because they can be read or listened to as standalone stories.
I think Carmen DeSousa did a fantastic job bringing these stories to life. I love that these stories are based on true events. The story has that it takes place in 1934 but I'm really curious to learn more about the events.
These stories are not going to have you scared if you're the type that can't take scary things. The stories aren't so much scary but tell events that happened years ago to 80 years later. Both stories are really worth the read or listen. This isn't the authors normal genre but she blows it away. You feel like she's been writing these types of stories all her life.
The narrator Michelle Babb did a great job in her telling of the story. I don't think I've heard anything by her before. She kept me immersed from start to finish. I look forward to Carmen writing more stories like these. Overall, a 5 star rating!
