Cannon is the sixth book in the Pittsburg Titans series and while I would not recommend reading it without having read the other books in the series, it is designed so that you can. I really loved getting to know the head coach of the team. I was able to get my hockey fill yet it did not focus on the players yet another aspect of the team. My only wish personally is that we would have had more interaction between Cannon and the team, maybe a few scenes during an intermission with the games going both ways, the team is playing great and not so great. That is just something I would have loved added to the book but it did not take away from the book whatever by not being in there.
The Titans have been through so much with the rebuilding of the team and each member has their own demons to sort out. Cannon and Ava are no exception to that and they felt so real to me, I love the way the narrators really brought them to life. It was as if I was in the room with them and I wanted to be able to interact with them. Each emotion, high and low, was experienced. The friendships, the laughs, and tears all felt realistic and I was sad for the book to end. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is the third book in the The Savage Crew series, but it can be read as a complete stand alone other than there may be slight spoilers about some prior characters. Just as when I read the book, I am struggling with my review and rating on the audio. I actually finished listening to this book a few days ago and am hoping by writing my review up will help me in my rating. I struggled with the narrators in what I would call them being more monotone or flat in delivering the story. Gabriel (Gabe) and Penelope (Pen) have a history and it does take time to fully learn why they feel and act the way they do. The author writes with a lot of breadcrumbs to the story that do get revealed in the end and at times when I felt like I couldn’t listen to the narrators any longer, they started to bring the story slowly to life. Then fell flat again. There are times in the book that are very emotional and I just didn’t feel that emotion coming from the narrators. I like to have the story come to life and hear those laughs or cries or even the frustration/anger the characters are feeling, yet it wasn’t always there. It was worth sticking with because as I said there were times when everything from the story to the narration had me not wanting to turn the book off and seeing how things turned out, redeemed my frustration with the story.

This is the second book in the Savage Crew series. While it is book two in the series it can be read/listened to as a stand alone as it picks up a short time after book one ends. If you do not read the first book there will be some spoilers in this book with the characters from book one. This book focuses on Bex Lim and Asher Beck, who we do meet in the first book. We just really get to know them here. I personally found this book to be more realistic than book one. I also found that Bex and Asher were more relatable to. The narrators do a wonderful job bringing Bex and Ahser to life. I found the book very difficult to put down/turn off and was up way too late listening and taking any chance I could during the day to listen, even if it was only fifteen minutes of spare time. There is a ton of emotion in this book and the narrators added to these emotions and at times you may even want to have some tissues around. After I finished the first book in the series, I wasn’t impatiently waiting for this book, but I can say that I am glad that I was able to read/listen to it because it more than drew me in and kept me going to the very end. Both narrators were new to me and I look forward to more books by both the narrators and the author.

Coen is the fourth book in the Pittsburg Titans series but it can be read as a stand alone. While there will be some spoilers on the characters from the prior books, you will not be lost in understanding who Coen is and learning his story.
The Pittsburg Titans have had a time coming back after the plane crash where most of the team and staff died in that crash. Coen should have been on that plane but was home sick and struggles and becomes a not nice person. He struggles from more than survivor's guilt.
Tildon or Tillie to her friends has had her own tragedy in her life and is trying to move on and live her dreams but Coen is preventing her from that. The war of the trees has started.
I love the surprises and twists that are taken on in this book. It was difficult to turn off. The narrators have done a wonderful job making you feel like you are in the scene even to the point of actually feeling the heavy breathing while running the trails. I really felt like I was on those runs between the description and the narration. I also enjoyed the brief interactions from the prior team member and am looking forward to the next book in the series. This new Titans team is still growing and getting to know each other.

This is the 10th book in the Jameson Force Security series but the author did a wonderful job with the prior supporting characters that you do not have to read or listen to the previous books, but I would still recommend it. I really enjoyed Joe Arden’s narration and Callie Dalton did a good job, I just struggled each time she said Kellen. The very first time she said it, I thought she had said Helen. Near the end of the book it finally sounded like Kellen and not Helen so that was an issue for me. I’m glad that it didn’t take away from this story because I really enjoyed how this was not about some covert opt or some kidnapping rescue but felt more like we were interacting in the teams every day lives. Of the books in the series, this was the most difficult to listen to while driving because it was the most emotional. There are major ups and downs as well as twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and it was very difficult to turn off as I was very invested in needing to know how this was going to end. Taking away the issue of how Kellen was pronouced, both narrators were really able to bring all the characters to life and they were even able to keep Kynan’s accent from other books.
I was said when this story ended as I would of loved for there to me more but it was wrapped up better than expected.

Gage is the third book in the Pittsburg Titans series but you can read it as a stand alone, but I highly do not recommend doing that otherwise you won’t have the full understanding of this team.  One thing I love about this book is that it is a book about a hockey player. We actually have events on the ice.  What is going on with the team on and off the ice.  I’ve read other sports/hockey books and the authors seem to forget to talk about what is happening with the team and on the ice.  The timing of the release of the book was also good being that the hockey season has just recently ended so this was a great book to make like the season was actually still going on.  Gage is such a great person for everyone around.  He is such an inspiration to his teammates as well as with Jenna.  I was thrilled to see a couple events occur as well as being surprised by a few others.  At times the book will be emotional as well as bring you some great laughs.  Add in the wonderful narration of this story, one that I didn’t want to turn off, as this book felt like it was real.  The narrators really brought the characters and scenes to life.  I could actually feel like I was in the story.  I can’t wait for the next book in the series as there is so much more to be told of this team.  The narrators were new to me but I also will be looking for more stories narrated by them.

Last on the List is a part of a series but can totally be read as a stand alone. While the book has the connections from characters from the prior books, other than spoilers from those books, the author does a great job in having it so you know these characters. This is a light hearted listen. The narrators do a wonderful job in bringing the characters to life and easily feel like you are there with them. There are a few emotional times but bounces back quickly with a laugh. I even found a slight bit of mystery with learning about Cozy’s past. The characters also felt very real and could easily get lost in their lives and were sad when the book ended, even being nicely wrapped up. I can’t wait for more from this author as well as these narrators than can truly bring the stories to life with their telling.

While this is the ninth book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone, just keep in mind that you may have a few spoilers of supporting characters lives of those that have already been told. The author does a good job so that you will know these supporting characters and not be lost and for those that have read the earlier books in the series it is a great catch up to see where they are now.
I am a huge fan of this author and really love the suspense parts of this series and to finally get to know Dozer on a deeper level was great. I did struggle a little with fully understanding his relationship with his father and wish a little more was spent with that as it seemed somewhat choppy to me. While we understand why Jessica was in the situation she was in and her history with Dozer, there were times when it seemed as if she wasn’t fully able to have her emotions portrayed with the job the female narrator provided. This was my first time listening to both narrators and I found the male narrator did a wonderful job but struggled more with the female narrator. I am trying to not let that take away from my rating of the story as I would like to believe that if I read the story my reading would have had Jessica really coming across upset, scared, angry, ect that I fully didn’t get with the listening.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

Stone is book 2 in the Pittsburgh Titans series but you do not need to read book one to fully enjoy this book. This book is just wow. It was not what I expected at all, it was so much more. Stone may have lost his brother in the plane crash that provided him the opportunity to come up from the minors, that he went down to after a shoulder injury, he struggles with all that is happening and questions everything. There is so much emotion in the book and the depth of the characters is wonderful. Right from the start you are drawn in and it doesn’t stop even when the book is over. I can’t wait for the next book in the series as this team has so much to tell. The narrators did a wonderful job bringing this awesome book to life. I was able to really feel the frustrations, sadness, excitement, joy, comradery, and love that is in this book. I did find a few times while Jason and Ava were narrating it was slightly difficult to know if they were actually speaking in the conversation or if it was their thoughts as the change in voice was not enough inflection but it was very slight and did not take much away from the narration. The combination of this narration issue and a part of the story where something wasn’t finished that I feel should've gotten back to is why I sadly have to give this 4.5 stars when it is so much more than that. I really enjoyed the mix of hockey and non-hockey and slightly getting to know the other players until their story is told. I also love how Harlow is strong and independent yet caring and supportive. Plus her dog is the best. Being this book ran somewhat parallel to Baden’s book it was disappointing for this reader that there was not much in being able to catch up with him so I hope in the future books of the series we get more with Harlow and Stone and there is more to their future.

This is the start of a new series for the author and what an amazing start. If you have read her Arizona Vengeance’s series, you will already know Baden and the events that have led him to moving from Arizona to Pittsburgh but if you haven’t, don’t worry the author fills you in. This was a non-stop listen that you will not want to end. One thing I really enjoyed about the story is that amount of sex. There is so much involved in the story and this was not needed. Writing the review is very difficult to not give any spoilers because each scene is important and to see the changes from the start of the book to the end of the book is perfect. The author really did a great job in telling Baden’s story and I so want to know more. I am thinking that things for Baden with the Titans are going to be changing with how things are unfolding and I hope what I’m thinking does happen because that would be even more rewarding for Baden. Aiden Snow and Lessa Lamb are new narrators to me but will not be the last time I listen to them. They were fantastic and really brought Baden and Sophie to life. The emotions, the highs and lows, that the characters were experiencing just added to the enjoyment of this book. I can not wait for the next book in this exciting new series and to see how this team will come together and get to know each player.
