A book of random side quests
Revisado: 02-01-25
You could skip this book and not miss anything to do with the main plot line. The author would ha e benefited from an outline, story point, and any sort of character development.
Characters die at random with some attempt to make an emotional impact despite having had no chance to develop them or build any connection to the story.

Generic cliche
Revisado: 02-01-25
The translation is full of out of place idioms that break immersion constantly. The story is generic fantasy with random twists on classic races and magic that serves zero purpose for the story.

Historia
King Henry V’s victory over the French armies at Agincourt on 25 October 1415 is unquestionably one of the most famous battles in history. From Shakespeare’s ‘band of brothers’ speech to its appearances in numerous films, Agincourt rightfully has a place among a handful of conflicts whose names are immediately recognized around the world. Agincourt provides a new look at this battle. Mike Livingston goes back to the original sources, including the French battle plan that still survives today, to give a new interpretation, one that challenges the traditional site of the battlefield itself.

I am a medievalist, practitioner of the Art of Arms of this period and have done extensive research on this subject and time period. I have never been more impressed by a historians work. A more articulate, less biased, and transparent explanation of his argument I have yet to find.

Historia

Not quite undead, though not alive either, the best he can hope for is to work off his servitude and fade away. His not-so-sacred duty as a Hand of God? Use his new abilities to hunt down demonic beings that have infiltrated the mortal realm. This time, the White Throne has sent him to the middle of nowhere: a Western town called Dead Acre with a saloon, a moldy church, and little else worth talking about. There isn’t even a sheriff.

Bad writing with a slop plot
Revisado: 02-27-24
The author demonstrates his ignorance of the time period in consistant little ways, that are distracting. The characters are flat as is the story. He gets overly excited writing action scenes, The gun fights leave plot holes rather than bullet holes.

Historia
In April 1861, Wayland Fuller Dunaway left his college classroom and entered the ranks of the men who fought the bloodiest war ever waged on the North American continent. A Captain in the Army of Northern Virginia, he marched hundreds of miles in Stonewall Jackson's command; saw Generals Lee and Longstreet; was among the first soldiers to fight at Gettysburg, where he also participated in Pickett's Charge; and fought against the lines of strangers in blue who, no matter how many times they were defeated, always returned to invade his beloved Virginia.

Historia
Was samurai warrior Taira Masakado a quixotic megalomaniac or a hero swept up by events beyond his control? Did he really declare himself to be the new emperor? Did he suffer divine retribution for his ego and ambition? Filled with insurrections, tribal uprisings, pirate disturbances, and natural disasters, this action-packed account of Masakado's insurrection offers a captivating introduction to the samurai, their role in 10th-century society, and the world outside the capital - a must-listen for those interested in early Japan, samurai warfare, or the mystique of ancient warriors.

Mediocre in entirety
Revisado: 08-30-23
Reader can’t correctly pronounce English words most of the time and certainly none of the Japanese names and titles.
The books content is half researched and based heavily on assumptions that are common modern western mistakes. He compares often to medieval European battles which he clearly hasn’t researched making them doubly useless and poor writing. The first hour of this already short book doesn’t touch the synopsis provided or anything about ancient Japan or Samurai.
If you are more than half interested in this history or know about ancient Japan already don’t waste your time or money on this already overpriced

Historia
FNH Audio presents a slightly abridged reading of this second volume of Charles Oman's military history classic. In this second volume, a detailed examination is made of the months January to September of 1809. The Talavera campaign is examined from both sides using reference materials from British, French, Spanish, and Portuguese sources. This book covers the entire Talavera campaign, from its inception right through to the near starved retreat of the victors from the field.

One problem is the narrators inability to pronounce French or Spanish names or places (which is surprising given the sheer number of Napoleonic books he has narrated.
Otherwise, this is the single best source on the subject.

Revisado: 12-21-21
This is one of the finest documented personal accounts of the most elite unit, of either side, to fight in the war. The author was the historian of the brigade and stood next to the men who's story is told.
The narrator is English and really struggles with Native American named rivers and places, but otherwise is energitic and articulate.

The hosts have awful presentation. They research like a kid doing the least work for an assignment. They use passive language quantifying every statement with “it seems to me” or picking some random Wikipedia sentence to explain something pointless and obvious.
If this is for an assignment it’s a Failure, if not it’s an embarrassment.
