Historia
It's been a few months since murder tore apart the community of Champton apart. As Canon Daniel Clement tries to steady his flock, the parish is joined with Upper and Lower Badsaddle, bringing a new tide of unwanted change. But church politics soon become the least of Daniel's problems. His mother - headstrong, fearless Audrey - is obviously up to something, something she is determined to keep from him. And she is not the only one.

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 07-31-23
I never give bad reviews but you can’t really get a sense from the sample of how bad the narration is. I think I’d enjoy the book if I read it, but this version is no bueno.

Historia
Fr. Robert Barron's comprehensive work goes straight to the core of the Catholic faith. He first examines the foundations of Christ's incarnation, life and ministry, and then works through the essentials of the Catholic tradition: from sacraments, worship and prayer, to Mary and the saints, and on to salvation, heaven and hell. Throughout this epic journey, Fr. Barron uses art, literature, personal stories, Scripture, theology, philosophy and history to present a complete picture of the Church to the world.

Narration is deadly dull
Revisado: 03-15-19
I think this would be a better experience with a better narration. I would consider finding the book and reading it before you spend money on this audio book.

Historia
Thomas Cahill tells the story of how Europe evolved from the classical age of Rome to the medieval era. Without Ireland, the transition could not have taken place. Not only did Irish monks and scribes maintain the very record of Western civilization, they brought their uniquely Irish world-view to the task. As Cahill delightfully illustrates, so much of the liveliness we associate with medieval culture has its roots in Ireland. When the seeds of culture were replanted on the European continent, it was from Ireland that they were germinated.

Possibly The Worst Book Ever Written
Revisado: 12-28-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This book seems not to know what it was supposed to be about. It rambles pointlessly. I've suffered through half of this book. I can't stand to listen to any more of it so I'll never know if it gets any better. I want those wasted hours of my life returned.
What do you think your next listen will be?
The Great Courses series never disappoints.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The audio quality was poor.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Annoyance, disappointment.
Any additional comments?
DO NOT PURCHASE.
