Historia
It started with a college course assignment, then escalated into a dangerous obsession. Eighteen-year-old honor student Jason Moss wrote to men whose body counts had made criminal history: men named Dahmer, Manson, Ramirez, and Gacy. Posing as their ideal victim, Jason seduced them with his words. One by one they wrote him back, showering him with their madness and violent fantasies. Then the game spun out of control. John Wayne Gacy revealed all to Jason - and invited his pen pal to visit him in prison.... It was an offer Jason couldn't turn down. Even if it made him....

Not for the insomniac!
Revisado: 01-15-19
Very detailed and interesting yet, disturbing. I’m a pretty seasoned true crime reader and this book got to me. It’s the nitty gritty of what really happens when we seek out our morbid curiosity. Not for the faint or easily rattled. Horrible narration. Listen for the content only and definitely at 2X speed or you’ll go nuts!

I can't even finish this book because the main character is so annoying!! I'm just getting angrier and angrier with every decision this character refuses to make and every word she won't say!

Historia
When they were growing up, Dana, Harper, and Tawny thought of themselves as “sometimes sisters". They connected only during the summer month they’d all spend at their grandmother’s rustic lakeside resort in north Texas. But secrets started building, and ten years have passed since they’ve all been together - in fact, they’ve rarely spoken, and it broke their grandmother’s heart.

Historia
They aren't the kind of women anyone misses. Truck-stop hookers, runaways...no one would even notice they'd disappeared if the killer didn't photograph their lifeless bodies, posed in the back of a semi-trailer. Exactly like the infamous Trucker murders. Carmen Jacobs interviewed the world's most terrifying serial killers for her best-selling book. The police might not believe her, but she knows there's a monster out there, paying homage to other murderers. The only person who can predict where he'll strike next is Griffin Archer - a reclusive software millionaire with ample reason not to help her.

Not bad. Decent listen.
Revisado: 04-10-18
It's a decent story but the villains give long winded speeches that give away their plan and gives the hero time to act. A little corny. I'd say it's still worth a credit though.

I wouldn't call this a scary story really. It's more like an account of a family's life but it's good.

Revisado: 03-22-18
liked the story but the main character was hard to take. I understand the diagnosis and tendencies but it just got to be too much. The story was decent, you'll just have a headache from grinding your teeth when you're done listening to the main character whine and act helpless.

Great story. Not so great narrator.
Revisado: 09-01-17
This story is delightfully dark and terrifying. Different from most horror because the ending is unexpected. The narrator isn't terrible but he doesn't do other voices well. His women's voices are especially cringe worthy but over all, a decent book. If you like horror and strangeness you should read/listen to it.

Historia
Located off a desolate stretch of Interstate 50, Desperation, Nevada, has few connections with the rest of the world. It is a place, though, where the seams between worlds are thin. And it is a place where several travelers are abducted by Collie Entragian, the maniacal police officer of Desperation. Entragian uses various ploys for the abductions, from an arrest for drug possession to "rescuing" a family from a nonexistent gunman.
