Historia
When a group of people gather together to generate ideas for solving a problem or achieving a goal, sometimes the best ideas are passed over. Worse, a problematic suggestion with far less likelihood of success may be selected instead. Why would a group dismiss an option that would be more effective? Leadership and communications expert John Daly has a straightforward answer: It wasn't sold to them as well. If the best idea is yours, how can you increase the chances that it gains the support of the group? In Advocacy: Championing Ideas and Influencing Others, Daly explains in full detail how to transform ideas into practice.

Eye-opening read with great examples
Revisado: 08-13-21
I believed that good ideas sell themselves - I was dead wrong. This book changed my perspective and was one of those rare books that I feel I would need to keep coming back to.

I have never heard an audio book narrated this well. The 5-second rule is great for people like me who think more and act less.

Historia
In his most ambitious work to date, Thomas L. Friedman shows that we have entered an age of dizzying acceleration - and explains how to live in it. Due to an exponential increase in computing power, climbers atop Mount Everest enjoy excellent cell phone service, and self-driving cars are taking to the roads. A parallel explosion of economic interdependency has created new riches as well as spiraling debt burdens.

Great book if you live under the rock
Revisado: 10-18-18
I didn't find the information in this book thought provoking. If you think and read, you probably already know that technology has transformed the world, our age is that of high-speed progress, people who want to survive must constantly learn, the government is too slow for today's age, and Donald Trump is bad.
Sounded like an overly drawn-out high school essay to me.

Great book, sometimes goes into unnecessary detail
Revisado: 08-28-18
The book is very detailed and sometimes reads like an academic paper - but it has great information.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.
