Was not disappointed
Revisado: 11-18-19
I was really looking forward to the third installment of this space opera after having listened to the first two, and I was not disappointed. This is a satisfying continuation of the lives of our favorite characters from the first two books. The plot was continued (concluded? we hope not) giving us fair doses of galactic politics, military maneuvering, and good battle action. Overall, I recommend this book, and series, for anyone looking for a good world building, space opera.

A little Sherlock Holmes a little Inspector Gadget
Revisado: 10-25-19
First, let me say that since I am a fan of both Sherlock and Gadget, this book was sure to land right in my wheelhouse. The writing was descriptive and colorful (without being distractingly so) to lend flavor to the steampunk London environment and aiding the story along. Story and characters were engaging, and well thought out, even if a little one dimensional at times. The performance was really well done. I felt the reader added to the story in their telling. All in all, I enjoyed the journey and would recommend it to anyone who like a little steampunk mystery.

Fun Jaunt
Revisado: 09-30-19
This is a great example of a 70's era spy/crime pulp novel because, well, it is. I didn't really research the genesis of this book, and it turns out it was written in the late 70s, but only published this year. It was a fun jaunt through spy and crime worlds with the proto-typical superhuman assasin. It is a little Jason Bourne, a little of Clancy's Agency (of course, written before either of those). The language and cultural references (role of women in spying, view on minorities, etc) reflect the times in which it was written and can be a bit jarring at times, but looking past that, it was a fun book.

Time Travel with a Human Twist
Revisado: 07-25-19
Books focusing on time travel are often complex and loose themselves in the implications and effects of the device. This book, however, is different. Rather than focusing on the time travel, this book focuses on the characters and the lives they are leading. Listening to this book resulted in more self-reflection than my typical book experience, and that is not a bad thing. Just the simple... 'if you could pick 10 days to relive, which would they be' was a fun conversation topic in my household. If you are looking for a time travel book full of action and suspense, this isn't really for you. If you want a book about living life with a plot driven by time travel as a way to reflect on your life and choices, then give this one a listen. I truly enjoyed the journey.

Great Second Installment
Revisado: 07-01-19
This was a great, fast paced continuation of book one. This book development the solid base from book one and moved us closer to understanding and the resolution. So many times the middle book in a series acts merely as a bridge to get from point a to point b (understandably). However, I am always impressed when an author is able to bring character development and exciting story developments to the second book. Very much looking forward to the third book and following these characters in to the next adventure.

There are no coincidences in time travel
Revisado: 06-28-19
This was a very well crafted and well executed conclusion to the series. I found the ending and explanations both entertaining and satisfying. All in all, I enjoyed the authors take on time travel and its implications for the world and the people in it. The issues around time travel, particularly skirmishes affecting the 'future' are always difficult to navigate. I Felt the author did an admirable job keeping it all straight and trying to cover the holes as best as possible. All in all, I would recommend this book, in fact this series, to anyone looking for a bit of near-term sci-fi/time travel adventure.

Good continuation of the story
Revisado: 06-28-19
This book is an excellent second installment of the time travel story. There is just enough reveal as well as enough continued mystery to both keep me listening and make me excited for the final book. Too many times in trilogy style books, the middle book is merely a bridge. However, this book had its own adventure and development. I found it very enjoyable. As I listened through the first and into the second, the narrator's portrayal of some of the voices grew on me, as well. Very much looking forward to the third book.

A good start to a unique series
Revisado: 06-23-19
This book begins a three part series of battles set throughout time. WIth a novel approach to time travel and the worlds that it allows the book to explore, there is a bit of something for everyone. Causalities in time travel (particularly a war fought across timelines) is touch, but this book does a good job with the explanations and keeping the reader up to speed. All in all, this a fine book that kept me interested and intently listening. I am very much looking forward to book two.

Compelling Saga in one bundle
Revisado: 06-16-19
I really enjoyed these books right from the opening scenes to the ending. This Omnibus makes for a tidy little space operate with all the pieces you want to see - bad good guys, good bad guys, space battles, snarky heros, and some underdogs finding the way to the top. The journey has plenty of ups and downs and side stories to keep all 5 books entertaining and engaging. The worldbuildiing was good, resulting in an universe I would return to if additional books came out.
