Loved Beartown but ‘Us against them’ seemed to try too hard and not enough at the same time to create the magic that was. I’m glad I finished it to see what happened to all the characters and still love this author.

The first hour took me on an emotional spiral to a low place but for a book to make me feel so intensely emotionally is quite a good thing.
Luckily I stuck with the book and invested in the characters and was rewarded with really good book.
