This was an absolutely amazing book. I am frequently in search of a book that people say keeps them thinking about it long after they’re read it. Perfect Peace is definitely that book. I laughed and I cried! It might be my favorite book of all time.

This was a very good book. Mike is very transparent in this book. He is brutally honest and is very authentic. Some of the reviewers said that he was vulgar and boastful. However, I disagree. He gives you an unvarnished look at his life. Some of that life is very hard to look at.

I really enjoyed the section that dealt with the beginning of his career and how Cus programmed his mind to see himself as great.

It was hard to listen to the section of him addicted to coke when he was at the end of his career and post retirement. You feel like you have a court side seat to watch someone destroy themself.

However, it was good to listen to how he put his life back together and to hear how it is still a work in progress, basically like everyone on the planet.

The narrator was very good.

Mike really had an amazing life, he had a tragic life, and is living a redemptive life.

I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Excellent portrait of the NFL

This book was so good I listened to it twice, a couple of years apart. I got something out of it that I missed on the second listening. It really gives you a sense of how an NFL team operates and how NFL players and coaches live. It’s gives you an fly on the wall view of the game. The author is a great writer as well! NFL fans will love this book. EXCELLENT BOOK!!

This book was really good! It took me back to those days in the 90’s. I was not even a Knicks fan but I really enjoyed this. If you are a basketball fan you will like this book. The writing was good and the narrator was good. I recommend this.

Best book I read and listened to in 2018!!

This book was fantastic! The author did an amazing job weaving the stories of the gang members, victims and cops together. The writing was superb.

The narrator was good, not fantastic, but did not detract from the story.

Anyone that wants to know who about inner city violence should read this book. I may even listen to it again.

Great fiction debut by Nicholas Irving! This was a great book. The story is very interesting and keeps you hooked. It has a lot of twists and turns. The narration is great. You will love this book!!
