Like talking to an old friend

I read this book 20 or more years ago, and have always loved it. A lot of bad reviews from people that don’t get that this was King’s literal first story. Not his first book, his first story, and it was always meant to set up future books. Having read the entire series it’s really cool to come back and hear the beginning and know what is coming, and what all the cryptic word play means. The performance was…ok. I’ve heard way worse, but also way better.

Boredom was killing Jay, not in a dramatic way, but in the life of stifled potential way. He wanted more out of life. Then, without any warning, he found himself part of an experiment with not even so much as the courtesy of a "how do you do?". It wasn't really all bad, though. The fit, busty babes outnumbered him 30 to one. Now, Jay has to fight to survive. He has to conquer the dungeon or die. On top of that, he has to juggle a bunch of gorgeous women who are all stuck in the same life or death fight as him.

Way better then I expected!

Well, this was way better then I expected, I was looking for some mindless shlock to keep me occupied while I’m quarantined with Covid, but I have to say, the story is engaging, and many of the characters are relatable. The performance is not the best I’ve heard on audible, but it’s far from the worst. I would definitely recommend this to fans of story’s where normal people get forced to survive in a fantasy/RPG type setting and or like harem story’s.
