Historia
Stolen is the true story of one survivor who escaped - more than once. First recruited while staying with her family at a hotel in Miami Beach, Katariina Rosenblatt was already a lonely and abused young girl who was yearning to be loved. She fell into the hands of a confident young woman who pretended friendship but slowly lured her into a child prostitution ring. For years afterward, a cycle of false friendship, threats, drugs, and violence kept her trapped.

Honest and Thought Provoking
Revisado: 09-01-20
Dr Rosenblatt was forthcoming with even uncomfortable details in your to paint a picture of the harsh reality. Understanding that the hardest things to look upon are the ones we actually should be paying attention to, I'm saddened we as society have closed our eyes to this tragedy that is so widespread and devastating. Honest, poignant, and telling of the incredible ability of the human spirit to heal and how God never leaves you.

Historia
For most of her life (and even during her years as the host of a popular radio show), Courtenay Hameister lived in a state of near-constant dread and anxiety. She fretted about everything. Her age. Her size. Her romantic prospects. How likely it was that she would get hit by a bus on the way home. Until a couple years ago, when, in her mid-forties, she decided to fight back against her debilitating anxieties by spending a year doing little things that scared her - things that the average person might consider doing for a half second before deciding: "nope."

Candid, relatable, but unique
Revisado: 01-25-19
I loved the honesty and felt I could relate on many levels although we are in completely different careers and our lives look very different. I could feel myself living vicariously through her stories and wondering what it would have been like to be in such situations. It made me evaluate what I am afraid of, and pushed me to consider what I could learn or accomplish by saying Ok, fine, whatever to. Well told.
