This Book will leave you Speechless
Revisado: 11-17-22
Wow just wow! What a radical departure from any other canon Star Wars novel. The story had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. A sense of dread looms over the entire book. We meet lovely new characters and the writing allows us to feel genuinely scared for them when the villain’s plan comes to light. Loved all THR novels and this is definitely at the top of the list. Highly recommend

Historia
As the shadows of the Empire loom ever larger across the galaxy, so do deeply troubling rumors. The Rebellion has learned of a sinister Imperial plot to bring entire worlds to their knees. Deep in Empire-dominated space, a machine of unimaginable destructive power is nearing completion. A weapon too terrifying to contemplate . . . and a threat that may be too great to overcome.

Excellent, Emotional Novelization of the Movie
Revisado: 09-15-22
Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie period. So I was very excited to listen to the novelization to get more character moments and plot points. This book absolutely delivers. I teared up at several points because the writing was so beautiful. Excellent character moments and lots of interesting tidbits that weren’t shown in the movie. Highly recommend

Excellent Story and Movie Level Audio Performance!
Revisado: 07-20-22
Let me start off by complimenting the production of this audiobook. Its incredible. The music choices and the way its used to build tension or during celebratory and action scenes are honestly movie level. It honestly feels like you're listening to a film. This is the first star wars audiobook that made me feel this way and i'm so glad. The story is also excellent. Very compelling and full of depth for a young adult novel. Justina Ireland really knows how to elevate her characters and build off their traits and they come full circle from the first time we meet them in A Test of Courage. There's an excellent mystery thriller vibe with compelling twists and turns that keep you hooked. Easily the best young adult High Republic novel. Can't wait for more from these characters and from Justina Ireland!

Satisfying ending to the aftermath trilogy
Revisado: 07-12-22
Easily the best book in the trilogy. Tells a complete story of the battle of jakku with the characters we’ve grown to love from the first 2 installments. Pacing is much better this time around, the story doesn’t drag and picks up momentum and the right times. Interludes give interesting clues about the happenings in the galaxy. A great read!

Excellent Read for Padme/ Prequel Fans.
Revisado: 01-13-22
Got this after reading Queen’s Peril and I love how all the characters and some plot points flow directly from that book into this. I would recommend reading Péril first as you get a better introduction to the characters and their stories flow more linearly. I love the prequel setting and getting to explore Naboo, Coruscant and Tatooine. Also love the galactic politics and seeing Palpatine’s machiantions behind the scenes. Really outstanding read and performance. Highly recommend!

Simple but Enjoyable Star Wars Story for Padme Fans
Revisado: 12-15-21
This book is really short compared to most other Star Wars novels which means that the story is very simple and centered almost entirely around Padme and her handmaidens. No crazy space battles here, just Padme and her friends getting to know eachother and navigate Naboo politics. I’m really glad I read this before Queens Shadow as it feels like a natural progression to move from Peril into Shadow. The last third of the story catches up to episode 1 which was fun to see the behind the scenes events that we didn’t get to see on screen. Overall a fun book for Padme fans and those who love galactic politics. Highly recommend!

Historia
Vernestra Rwoh is a new Jedi Knight at age 16, but her first real assignment feels an awful lot like babysitting. She's been charged with supervising 12-year old aspiring inventor Avon Starros on a cruiser headed to the dedication of a wondrous new space station called Starlight Beacon. But soon into their journey, bombs go off aboard the cruiser. While the adult Jedi try to save the ship, Vernestra, Avon, Avon's droid, J-6, a Jedi Padawan, and an ambassador's son make it to an escape shuttle, but communications are out and supplies are low.

A fun, simple story
Revisado: 04-01-21
It’s about as good as what you’d expect for a young reader Star Wars novel. The production is excellent as usual. The story is fairly simple and I like that it takes place concurrently with Light of the Jedi. The characters are well written and easy to like. I wished there was more of a threat posed by the Nihil but they were competent villain.

Exciting start to a new era!
Revisado: 01-06-21
This book is excellent. Probably the best description of a galaxy wide disaster in all of star wars. This story has scope and depth and is very character driven. I felt for characters that we only knew for one or two chapters, for example.

Much better than the first Aftermath
Revisado: 03-21-20
Didn’t really care for the first aftermath. Only finished it because I’m a lore junkie and I needed to know all the connections to main canon. This one however is a dramatic improvement. The characters benefit from being fleshed out in the first novel. The story itself is much bigger and galaxy spanning and the interludes continue to impress.
