Though he has the advantage of knowing these cases from his time period, there are still things that aren't in the police reports, and he'll have to discover them for himself. Can Malik figure out how to save Ferrah from her untimely end or will his mission fail?

Can't wait for the next book in the series

It is truly remarkable that this is the author's first book. I didn't know what to expect when I first received the copy, but I listened to the whole thing in less than 2 days. The concept is interesting and I love the way the story evolves. Often the book provides glimpses into other characters' perspectives which gives the reader hidden insight and backstory. Not only do those moments improve the overall world and narrative, but they also make interactions between characters so much more revealing and interesting. I am very excited to see where this series goes in the future. The premise and foundation that is now built could take us in a hundred different directions.
