I didn’t like the computer voice. Overall it represents good, general knowledge, that’s a little different than what I expected which is something more like “design thinking.” I enjoyed it, particularly insights toward the end about urban planning and zoning ordinances.

This is well written and insightful. It is a huge help to me as a resource for creating global and gender diverse art history courses. It is also a good read and incredibly informative particularly with the Renaissance through Early Modernism in which art history has traditionally addressed so very few women artists and contributors at all.

This serves as an excellent primer for anyone, such as myself, who is not wholly dedicated to the study of Byzantine history. It is an informative timeline with interesting narratives. For those with a more in depth knowledge of the history, this might not be the book to deepen your knowledge, although there are some intriguing insights. Clearly, we are still living this history, and Brownsworth does an excellent job of keeping it alive.

I enjoyed the narrator’s reading. It is well-done.

There is some good stuff here, and it is generally entertaining with some insight. But, in an attempt to make it an expose, they miss the chance for more meaningful discussion. The expose part is not totally distracting... just unnecessary.

While possibly informative and thought provoking to those who might not experience creative endeavor or haven’t researched the phenomena, I didn’t find it groundbreaking. He kind of belabor his one idea. Wish I could get my
Money back on this one.

I enjoyed the mix of making philosophy, administrating philosophy. And being philosophy. As an art professor who has taken on some administrative responsibilities recently, I found it both inspiring and comforting.

Those of us in any field involving engagement will benefit from Simon’s ideas. Relevance is both an excellent use of the term and a description of a timely and useful philosophy.

I love this book. This is an excellent treatise on leadership with real life examples and forthright confessions of shortcomings. Also one of the best treatises on the value of failure. I enjoyed the anecdotes and technical talk (actually I will look for books more about the technical stuff). The reading is well-paced and pleasant to listen to.

Set your speed x1.5 (faster if you are from a big city up north). Anything faster than 1.5, though, starts sounding like the chipmunks. You will endure A lot of breathing and swallowing, also, but I confess a sensitivity to such noise. That being said, it is a great time to consume this book!! It transcends the popular notion of creating a false sense of urgency and the political/media brand loyalty that has entrenched reason into unreasonable camps.
