Historia
If you've never read a Repairman Jack novel, this is the place to begin. It's 1990. A twenty-one-year-old named Jack has dropped out of college, leaving his old life behind to build a new one in New York City. Manhattan's rough edges are jagged enough to shred any unwary newcomer, but perhaps not one who is determined to stay off the grid, at any cost, in the busiest metropolis on earth. And to do so, he'll have to take jobs of a less than legal nature.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend this book because it is both filled with action and good regional descriptions.
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character was the villain because of the way he believed his bizarre actions acceptable if observed from the proper perspective.
Which scene was your favorite?
When the villain's car was hit by another car after he murdered the wife of Llewellyn.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
South Texas drug crime with massacre.
Any additional comments?
I liked the way the book expanded on the movie but glad some of the final tales of sheriff left out of movie.

Historia
The extermination of Earth is at hand. With his increasingly irrational leadership Basil Wenceslas, chairman of the Hansa, has driven humanity into a corner. His punitive treatment of the Hansa colonies and the Roamers, as well as his refusal to aid an embattled Theroc, have made enemies for the people of Earth.

narrator change at book 4 of series killed for me
Revisado: 03-18-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
No, because the narrator irritated me to the extent I could hardly stand to finish.
What did you like best about this story?
I like the many charactors and places of the series and how they intertwined, but new narrator's pronunciation and performance caused me to not want to finish series.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
His pronunciation of the names of people and places, and generally his verbal expressions.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No, there is too much information to relate for a movie to follow.
Any additional comments?
Let me know when reproduced with different narrator and I will check him out and maybe get back into the series.

Disappointing change of narrator mid series.
Revisado: 02-17-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
The series not this narrator.
What did you like best about this story?
I like the multiple stories of differents species and human groups blending to make a great opera.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
He could have tried to use the same pronunciation of people and places from first three books in series. Tough to accept change from George Guidall's narration.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not so much, there are so many interlacing moments.
Any additional comments?
I have enjoyed the first three books in the series a great deal and am very disappointed in narrator change at book four.

Love Longmire!
Revisado: 12-10-13
Would you listen to A Serpent's Tooth again? Why?
Yes, to help me remember more about each of the characters.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Walt Longmire is my favorite because he balances all the action and characters.
What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He is a great narator. When I listen to him tell the story I am very happy with his representation of each of the characters and I can immerse in the story without having to give the characters the attributes that bring them to life in my mind.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I was disturbed when I thought Double Tough was dead.
Any additional comments?
I have not yet been disappointed with one of the books in the Longmire series. This one and book 8 are as good as any of them to me. I feel like all the base characters are like family. I look forward to more Longmire books.

alaxy. Humanity was slowly making their way out from Earth to the planets and asteroids of the Solar System, exploring and mining and founding colonies. The mining ship El Cavador is far out from Earth, in the deeps of the Kuiper Belt, beyond Pluto. Other mining ships, and the families that live on them, are few and far between this far out. So when El Cavador's telescopes pick up a fast-moving object coming in-system, it's hard to know what to make of it. It's massive and moving at a significant fraction of the speed of light.
