Great start of the series
Revisado: 10-10-24
The first book in the series takes us mostly into a psychologist's Justin's office, where he is met with a challenging case of multiple-personality disorder, Frank. Some of Frank's personalities are very forthcoming, some outright defensive and all are a coping mechanism for very deeply rooted issues, which possess dangers that are being revealed way too slowly. Justin is faced with difficult treatment decisions that, as he knows from experience, may backfire. Justin's close ones are also dealing with their own issues, grief, guilt, sexuality and much more. * Really good start! Has me on edge for the other books as the first book has me asking more questions than giving me answers. * The narrator did a great job changing voices for characters which makes is quite easy to follow despite the amount of characters present. * Highly recommended!

Not the end
Revisado: 09-26-24
I initially thought this will be the last book of the series but I was wrong /and I also didn't check, this is just the last released book so far/. The story continues in Evitankari, reveals a few secrets and schemes but generally serves as a connecting book, setting up a more concise continuation with the previous books serving as plot backgrounds from different characters that probably will mash up in the future book(s). I hope the next one comes out soon 😊 The story is definitely far from over and it would be unwise to wrap it up fast.

Yo. Crown Princess Myrindi of Talvayne here. This is the story of my life so far. It's an inspirational, uplifting tale that won't leave a dry eye in the house. The film adaptation's going to bring home seven Academy Awards and inspire at least twice as many hot new looks for spring. Ah, who am I kidding? My life kind of sucks. I spent my childhood stuck in the palace with a bunch of dimwitted sycophants who think khakis are a good idea.

Life of a princess through her diary entries
Revisado: 09-24-24
Book 3 of the series shows us the early life of a water nymph princess blessed and cursed with a unique gift that protects the realm against "the rot". Shown through mostly her inner dialogue and journal entries, it also provides more context and another perspective of the book 2 finale events as well as small pieces of context for book 1. The princess is 10 to 16 years old in the book, yet she is cynical and has humor of a tired millennial with a dash of gen Z's obsessiveness with whatever trends are the hit right now. Can't wait to dive in the last book to see it all tied together 😁

When scheming blows up in your own face
Revisado: 09-22-24
Second book in the series takes us on a journey of discovery, when a mere human becomes a new elven wielder of the strongest magic they ever created, from one side by design, from the other, by mistake. Roger is thrown into the world of elves, witches, pixies and demons, which he had no idea even existed. During his "accidental" wielder appointment, he lost everything. His house, his previous life as he had known it. His wife and children missing. And as if that was not enough, more schemes and lies all around him are making his life, despite his best efforts do make everything right, very difficult. And there is more to come.... * I'm loving the series so far, will be diving in the next one right away. * Narration great as always * Highly recommended if magic and mystical creatures are your guilty pleasure as well *

Slightly daunting short stories
Revisado: 09-19-24
A collection of short horror stories, even though they were not as scary as I expected, which is honestly fine by me as very scary stories can make me paranoid at night... 😅 Some stories have a full ending, some leave a little to your own deduction, all induce thought on what you might do in the crazy situations our characters were unwillingly finding themselves in,,. * Good narration, short format, very easy to listen to and definitely recommended!

The empire of Eisa once stood as a symbol of hope for purging the wicked magic that had plagued its lands. But when Wielders are spotted within those borders, the sanctity that once acted as an unshakable foundation crumbles beneath Sorrel Zdraevit's feet. With the resurgence of Wielders on Eisan soil, protests are increasing in the streets, citizens are suffering, and everywhere she turns tragedy fractures the facade of peace that had sheltered her.

The story of a young princess discovering a family secret that will change her life forever. From a peaceful routine to a mad chaos all around her. Can she outsmart the powerful men standing to eradicate her species and bring a long standing peace to everyone? * I honestly loved this book, fast pacing, interesting, shocking and gripping. I enjoyed every minute of it and I can't wait for the next one to come out! * Great narration!

Max to the rescue
Revisado: 09-03-24
Second part of A Tale of the Ages takes us deep into the crevice between the spirit world and the real world which is where the manifestation of Evil itself chooses to reside and feed on passed souls, growing stronger and waiting, waiting for the right moment to emerge once more... Among the tricks and mirage, our heroes find one powerful sorcerer thought to have perished decades ago, however instead of being dead, he has been held captive. Some souls have already been lost here. But can this one be saved? Can our heroes even save themselves? Adrenalin rushes through their veins as the Evil closes in on them.... * I loved the narration, the narrator truly gives it his all. * Definitely recommended!

Opting to escape and fall into his work after a personal tragedy, officer Hawk ventures into the cold, desolate town of Holberg, Norway to attempt to uncover why multiple people have gone missing, with no obvious traces left behind except strange markings.

What is going on in this small town....
Revisado: 08-27-24
A small town in the middle of nowhere is riddled with strange and violent disappearances that nobody seems to be able to solve. Detective Hawk grabs this opportunity to take a break from his sorrow, hoping he can find something everyone else missed and bring the person responsible to justice. However, from the moment he arrives, weird strangeness follows him everywhere around town and its people, bringing about experiences and moments that make him question his own sanity. Is he going mad? Or is there something more going on? * The story was great! Short, with a bit of mystery and chill sprinkled in, definitely a good listen.* I was not a fan of the narrator, it felt like he could have given the story more life and engagement.
