Historia
In The 15-Minute City: A Solution to Saving Our Time and Our Planet, Carlos Moreno delivers an exciting and insightful discussion of the deceptively simple and revolutionary idea that everyday destinations like schools, stores, and offices should only be a short walk or bike ride away from home. This book tells the story of an idea that spread from city to city, describing a new way of looking at living that addresses many of the most intractable challenges of our time.

A text-book review on the concept
Revisado: 09-19-24
The author goes line by line on an explanation of the entire concept of 15-minute cities. I'm about halfway thru right now and I've gotten a better understanding of the key terms involved in the design. There is nothing about conspiracies in this. It lists facts and figures in a matter-of-fact way and does not pass judgement. It is a dense listen/read so I do find myself hitting rewind often, but I am very interested in the topic. This is the most comprehensive and condensed collection of the information on this topic that I have found so far.

Historia
Maria Bamford is a comedian’s comedian (an outsider among outsiders) and has forever fought to find a place to belong. From struggling with an eating disorder as a child of the 1980s, to navigating a career in the arts (and medical debt and psychiatric institutionalization), she has tried just about every method possible to not only be a part of the world, but to want to be a part of it. In Bamford’s “trademark blend of disarming intimacy and dark whimsy” (Publishers Weekly), Sure, I’ll Join Your Cult brings us on a quest to participate in something.

A Deeper Understanding of Maria's Open-Mic Stories
Revisado: 09-08-23
We love you, Maria! A stand-up legend (Stephen Colbert's favorite comedian and then some)! I'm sorry you suffered through all of this but just know that you are my hero, and a hero to anyone who has felt even the slightest bit away from mentally well.
This book is a great telling of Maria's life struggle with mental-illness and how she has dodged its ailments to success and happiness. Her story leaves me with hope.
