Great story loved this one
Revisado: 03-04-25
I really loved this episode. I feel like Ash did such a good job sort of sliding into Alaina’s shoes and getting all technical. She did such a good job telling the story and really did it justice. But the thing that made this next level for me was Drew‘s laugh.
I will probably listen to this episode again when I need to pick me up because Drew’s laugh makes me so happy. Thanks you two!

Historia
When Kathryn Wombacher suspected her husband, Walter Andrew, of having an affair in the spring of 1920, she hired a private detective to follow him on one of his many “out-of-town” trips that he’d taken in their short marriage. However, rather than follow Walter out of town, the private detective tracked the man less than a mile from his home in Hollywood, where he discovered that Walter had indeed been carrying on a relationship with another woman—but that was to be the least of Kathryn’s worries.Thank you to the Incredible Dave White of Bring Me the Axe Podcast for research and ...

Great storytelling
Revisado: 12-16-24
This was a surprisingly engaging podcast story to listen to. I was pleasantly surprised. Although I almost wasn’t on the count of the fact that the first eight minutes of random nonsense almost caused me to look for a different podcast. I’m glad I didn’t because the ladies were hilarious, While also doing justice to the story. Sidenote, H.H. Holmes, more like H. H. Gnomes! The gnome like comments had me dying!

Emmett Lasker is impossible to work for. He might be model handsome and stupidly wealthy, but he also has it out for me. He’s given me more last-minute and weekend requests than anyone else, ruining any plans I make. I should quit. And I will. Just as soon as I hit my two-year anniversary and earn out my signing bonus. But after a particularly awful day at work, a breakup (via text!), and my computer crashing, I’ve had enough! So at 11:59 Friday night, I barge into Emmett’s office to tell him what I really think of him. Only, that’s not what happens. AT ALL.

Totally delightful!

I love the performance. I am totally in love with the Lasker brothers. Sebastian York portrays the male characters with just the right amount of crassness and the right amount of emotion to make. The characters seem very real. Thank you.

Horrendous narration
Revisado: 12-17-22
This is such an amazing story that was absolutely ruined by the most horrific narration I’ve ever heard. This has me looking through the remaining titles I haven’t listened to yet in this series and making sure he isn’t narrating so I don’t buy them by mistake.

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

just so you know, I stopped reading a 20 something book series to listen to this. I was not disappointed. it took me back.
it was also so neat to really finally get the intensity of Edward's feelings about Bella. <3
