Historia
The secret behind France's astonishingly well-behaved children is here. When American journalist Pamela Druckerman has a baby in Paris, she doesn't aspire to become a "French parent". French parenting isn't a known thing, like French fashion or French cheese. Even French parents themselves insist they aren't doing anything special. But French children are far better behaved and more in command of themselves than American kids....

Historia
In an attempt to find out, Mary Roach brings her tireless curiosity to bear on an array of contemporary and historical soul-searchers: scientists, schemers, engineers, mediums, all trying to prove (or disprove) that life goes on after we die. She begins the journey in rural India with a reincarnation researcher and ends up in a University of Virginia operating room where cardiologists have installed equipment near the ceiling to study out-of-body near-death experiences.

Historia
On the heels of her triumphant How to Be a Victorian, Ruth Goodman travels even further back in English history to the era closest to her heart, the dramatic period from the crowning of Henry VII to the death of Elizabeth I. Drawing on her own adventures living in re-created Tudor conditions, Goodman serves as our intrepid guide to 16th-century living. Proceeding from daybreak to bedtime, this charming, illustrative work celebrates the ordinary lives of those who labored through the era.

Historia
By explaining the lean system for identifying and eliminating waste and introducing efficiency in every aspect of the farm operation, The Lean Farm makes the case that small-scale farming can be an attractive career option for young people who are interested in growing food for their community. Working smarter, not harder, also prevents the kind of burnout that start-up farmers often encounter in the face of long, hard, backbreaking labor. Lean principles grew out of the Japanese automotive industry, but they are now being followed by progressive farms around the world....

Historia
When did talking to your plants become a dialogue? In this remarkable work, author and gardener Judith Handelsman teaches that "the issues of life and death reveal themselves through observing and caring for plants." She illustrates her point with magical stories that will leave you in no doubt that you can communicate with your own plants, whether you live in the country or in a high-rise apartment with a house plant on your window sill.

Not what u wanted, Period!
Revisado: 09-07-18
I’m an avid gardener and a firm believer in the philosophy of saying, “saying good thing to your plants will make them feel good”.
This woman is ridiculous, this book had exactly two paragraphs on anything related to spiritual gardening.
She combines her experiences with dream interpretation, an autobiography involving divorce and not wanting children, and sending good energy.
WTF!!!
