Historia
In Rooted, cutting-edge science supports a truth that poets, artists, mystics, and earth-based cultures across the world have proclaimed over millennia: Life on this planet is radically interconnected. Our bodies, thoughts, minds, and spirits are affected by the whole of nature, and they affect this whole in return. In this time of crisis, how can we best live upon our imperiled, beloved earth? Award-winning writer Lyanda Lynn Haupt’s highly personal new book is a brilliant invitation to live with the earth in both simple and profound ways.

Underwhelming
Revisado: 01-10-25
I suppose this is a good beginner guide if you are new to being connected with nature. There is a lot covered, a lot of other authors referenced, and some short vignettes on the author's own experiences, but I felt that it lacked the depth needed to be anything more than mildly inspirational for me in particular. I had high hopes but I found it to be underwhelming.

Terrible Narration
Revisado: 03-31-23
The book itself was good. If you are new to presenting or have been presenting for a long time, there are little tidbits and reminders of room where we can all grow. BUT... the narrator... she sounded so much like a robot I actually had to look her up. The timing was weird. Her inflections were weird. Usually when I listen to a book by a narrator I don't much care for, I usually get used to it and just forget about it. Something about this narrator made it impossible to forget how annoying her way of speaking was. Just when you thought a sentence was over, it wasn't. I listened to it at 1.5 to 2 times the speed just to get it over with.
