I enjoyed the history entwined in the mystery. The characters were warmingly intriguing. Yet, the family secrets revealed kept it from a perfect, homespun tale of a town. I'd listened to it again.

This work is a wonderful, quirky, clime of its own. Frenchie is endearing & must continue develop! Humorously, he's the most intelligent & yet humble member of the community. Seemingly familiar, the town folk's interaction bring a visual realness. Now, we all want to visit soon. Some how crime doesn't seem like such a bad thing... as long as you say sorry.
You guys are on to something great! Real Americans know 😉. Trust the process & keep having fun! We are waiting.

It was a well developed story. I found it educational, as well. As America as a society has its innocence & blinders slowly removed, such scenarios are no longer viewed as "far fetched". It opened my eyes.

I enjoyed this story because it was transparent & relatable. Faith was not avoided, nor the struggles within. It was a story of real like people in raw circumstances, leaning on a benevolent Creator, & true community- good & ugly. It did not end with pat answers, but it did end with hope & peace. Thank you.

I have really enjoyed this series. The turns in the story were never predictable. I didn't always like the outcome, but perhaps that's why I am not the author of such an engaging mystery. I found the characters grasped my attention & the scenery/surroundings clear written for me to see. I'm glad that it didn't conclude with one book. Enjoy!
