Not really a good "story" and horribly narrated
Revisado: 08-31-23
Maybe figure out how to pronounce "mortise" if you're going to narrate a book about woodworking??
And thanks to Audible's ever-changing return policy, I have to eat this title rather than find one that doesn't make me cringe

They develop when people are prepared for opportunities because they have asked themselves the right questions and have rigorously assessed their unique characteristics. This article challenges listeners to take responsibility for managing their futures, both in and out of the office.

Good book - narrator...not so much
Revisado: 06-21-19
The narrator almost ruined the book for me. Not sure if the author narrated or if this is a professional. I mean, if you’re going to repeatedly use the word “contribution,” do us a favor and have a good look at the word and pronounce all of the letters. If it weren’t so inexpensive, I probably would return

Historia
The first installment in Giles Milton's outrageously entertaining series, History's Unknown Chapters: colorful and accessible, intelligent and illuminating, Milton shows his customary historical flair as he delves into the little-known stories from the past. There's the cook aboard the Titanic, who pickled himself with whiskey and survived in the icy seas where most everyone else died. There's the man who survived the atomic bomb in both Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And there's many, many more.

Just not that interesting
Revisado: 03-24-17
History is replete with fascinating characters and stories. The ones documented in this book are essentially average.

How about some chapter titles?
Revisado: 02-04-17
Kind of silly to listen to an anonymous speaker entitled "chapter 3". Frustrating, but I'll just listen and compare to other speakers on YouTube and see if I can figure out who I'm listening to....
