Thought provoking and transparent

I enjoyed the book. As a business owner I felt it filled the gaps and shed light on real life experiences and expectations. Some authors share only what makes them look good. Mr. Schwarzman shares things that make him grounded and mentally tangible. This book was a delight and well worth reading.

Historia
Kym Gold's mantra - "never settle for a no, always look for a yes" - is what led her to co-create True Religion Brand Jeans, a major retail clothing company that she sold for close to a billion dollars in 2013. In Gold Standard, she finally gives her side of the story of how the once fledgling jeans company that nobody wanted, went on to become a giant, revolutionizing player in the fashion industry.

I enjoyed the book. It was a far cry from what I expected. The book is real. Some authors superficially paint an image of themselves that makes them untouchable. I feel like Kym shared pieces of herself that took me into her personal experiences. I felt the emotion and the passion in this book. Her real life story parallels that of a friend. It helped me fill the gap in real time of some of the activity inside this industry. What a story. You will be glad you jumped in....
