Historia
When mystery author D. B. Ziegler is late delivering her book, Abi Schore steps in to help. Surely she can give her favorite author moral support over the holiday break and get the manuscript to her boss at Tea & Sympathy Publishing in time for the new year. When Abi shows up on Ms. Ziegler’s doorstep bearing holiday treats, she’s met by the author’s handsome grandson Dov, who reveals a startling plot twist. His grandmother isn’t able to finish the book and Dov promised he’d complete it so fans won’t be disappointed—a task that’s harder than he ever imagined.

Delightful and delicious story
Revisado: 12-21-24
I was looking for a fun Christmas story and found a delightful Hanukah story. I loved this sweet story and now have the greatest urge to bake!
I just wish that the 26 books in the story line really existed. I would read each one and cook every recipe.

Historia
Throughout these books, Follett has followed the fortunes of five intertwined families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they make their way through the twentieth century. Now they come to one of the most tumultuous eras of all: the enormous social, political, and economic turmoil of the 1960s through the 1980s, from civil rights, assassinations, mass political movements and Vietnam to the Berlin Wall, the Cuban Missile Crisis, presidential impeachment, revolution - and rock and roll.

Great look back on the issue of our times
Revisado: 11-19-24
I appreciated the extensive details and research. The author kept us engaged with his great story writing.
I gained a great respect for the Russian people who have never had freedom.
The story was gripping, however, I could have done without all the sex scenes. That took away from the story and I almost quit but decided to fast forward through those parts and picked up the real story.

Wow, who knew a book about building a cathedral could be so engaging.
Revisado: 09-20-24
I was reluctant to buy and then to listen to a 40 hour narration about building a cathedral, but I’m so glad I did.
The many story lines entwining the lives of both the good and the evil characters kept my interest. I found myself rooting for Jack and before I knew it, 40 hours had flown by and I was sad the book ended.
This was a great book and deserves all the credit it has received

What a man!! What an American Hero
Revisado: 08-08-24
Dr. Van Buseck sifted through the mountains of material to come up with a masterful and compelling story about President’s Ulysses S Grant’s last year of his life and of his final battle.
The book was so well written that I felt like I was there in the room with President Grant as he fought his last and greatest battle. I cried at the end and felt like I had just lost a dear friend.
What a story…what a man…
I wish he was our President today

Love the history lessons intertwined with great stories
Revisado: 03-28-24
What did I like,? How well planned and thought out the story was.
What did I dislike,? That it came to an end. I know the story of Israel will continue, but I will miss the characters inner woven this book.
I listened to five Herman Woelk books in a row and learn so much about this era.
I was sad to come to the end of this saga.

Sad the series has ended
Revisado: 04-28-23
Like all good books and series, I couldn’t wait to see how it ended but dreaded that the end would come.
Masterful story teller. Well written and the characters were real. I’m sad this adventure is over. I wish John Jakes would write more of the strong Kent family.

Historia
Improbable, if not impossible. How could a people who’d been scattered for two millennia reestablish a homeland on their ancient soil? Against all odds, an irresistible desire to return grew in courageous Jewish men and women who set out to rebuild their decimated homeland. Help came first through Great Britain’s pledge to restore Palestine to the Jews. Britain, however, nearly reneged on that promise just as the Jews faced the Nazi Holocaust.

Epic conclusion to a 2,000 year struggle
Revisado: 03-23-22
This book was an Herculean effort to research, write and then verbally record. It felt like I was on a roller coaster ride as the book progressed and the struggle continued. Attention to the many details added to the final understanding of what a monmouth accomplishment this was for President Truman, the nation of and for the Jewish people.
We’ll written, researched and an inspiration!
This truly is an Epic story 2,000 years in the making.
