Peter has poured his heartheart, his soul and his life into this book? I’m interested in longevity and it was recommended to me by a friend. Few books in my life have had me stopping. Putting the book down for a few days or a week and then coming back all so I could absorb the information and what that meant to me. I have since recommended this book to countless 50+ year olds. For me,, I’m now thinking about learning another language and the guitar because, hey I could be here for quite sometime.

There’s so much more to this book than the title suggests

I’ve never given a review before I’ve finished the book. Until now. I love this book. This content. This performance. I cannot recommend this book more highly. It’s perfect for this moment in time and into the future. So much good info I will be going through it again and again.

I have to tell you this book made me laugh and cry (with laughter) at some of the stories, while nodding my head at ALL the mistakes I have made living and working in another country. There’s only two books which have served as a Rosetta Stone for my career and this is one of them. If you find yourself working with people in another country and slowly losing the will to live, then you HAVE to buy this book. It will be on heavy rotation for me for sometime until I can apply the lessons in my everyday work. Thanks Kyle, you’re a star.

I've been a fan of this writer from the spider series which I love. I find the story a little obvious, but the back story is getting really good so I will keep listening for now.

I've always loved Brad from his days on Everybody Love Raymond. I didn't know he did stand up until this book, but I will be on the lookout for more. It's such a cliche to say that I've never laughed so hard, but it's true. I had to stop listening so many times, the book must have lasted twice as long. This book made me realise how tame most comedy really is these days. I thoroughly recommend this book and hope your sides hurt as much as mine.

Great insight to her slide into anorexia.

What made the experience of listening to Unbearable lightness the most enjoyable?

I really enjoy listening to the author reading the text, especially an actor. There's a level of authenticity that the reading delivers you just cannot get with a third party. Portia's account of her life leading up to and post her recovery is outstanding. Take the time to listen to this wonderful and insightful story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Unbearable lightness?

Her realisation of becoming anorexic.

Which scene was your favorite?

Her epilogue of where she is now.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A must see for any young woman.
