Henry's VA was not nearly as good as Grace. It's sometimes difficult to tell who's dialogue we're hearing because his voices are so similar. Grace's VA did a good job, though. Story was decent. Overall, worth listening to.

I enjoyed this a lot, but not as much as Rachel Aaron's other DFZ books. I wouldn't have minded a new world if we were going to go so hard on Faerie magic. The DFZ is best when she plays up the Futuristic Fantasy blend, while most fae stories are already grounded with a connection to humans, cities, cars, phones, etc. Basically, the setting wasn't as special as it should have been. That aside, I really enjoyed the story and characters!

Can't Believe It's Over

I never got to finish the series as a kid, so I was really excited when I learned Audible was releasing the books. I will say, the way the ending became open caught me off guard and I kind of disagree with Applegate's choice to do that. It wasn't bad, but they deserved peace. Either way, I really enjoyed this and can't wait to listen to all the spinoff books as they come out in a few months.
