Historia
Thad Carhart never realized there was a gap in his life until he happened upon Desforges Pianos, a demure little shopfront in his Paris neighborhood that seemed to want to hide rather than advertise its wares. Like Alice in Wonderland, he found his attempts to gain entry rebuffed at every turn. An accidental introduction finally opened the door to the quartier's oddest hangout.

Historia
Jon Ward's life is divided in half: two decades inside the evangelical Christian bubble and two decades outside of it. In Testimony, Ward tells the engaging story of his upbringing in, and eventual break from, an influential evangelical church in the 1980s and 1990s. Ward sheds light on the evangelical movement's troubling political and cultural dimensions, tracing the ways in which the Jesus People movement was seduced by materialism and other factors to become politically captive rather than prophetic.

Oh great summing up of what I’m sure many believers think
Revisado: 11-13-23
Jon Ward is kind articulate and presents a message balance and love. A wonderful summation of the evangelical church for the past 2 to 3 decades

This reader makes me angry
Revisado: 11-10-21
The reader doesn’t finish a LOT of words. It’s as though he doesn’t want to have any hard consonants or something. I literally wasn’t certain of what many words even were. I can’t finish the book. I DO believe the content would be good for someone like me who wrote the title of my review.
Cheers and good luck.

Required reading for being a human. Simply put, see first sentence. Because I needed enough words for this to post.
