I wasn’t sure what to expect so I gave this book a chance. Many things are hinted at for future books and that should be worth looking into. I think a mental bond happening aids the story to get past what could be very rough moments so kudos for smoothing them out. A futuristic world where humans no longer rule so it had surprises.

A good narration with a nice story

There are dark bad guy themes but the suspense is seeing what they’ll do to get through it. Yes it’s an adult book so some descriptions of sex but nothing a mature teen hasn’t already read about or young adult books don’t have.

I like the carpathians, finding out more of the history getting an inkling there are layers of good things to find out in other books that are written.

A good read

I recommend this book to sci-fi alien as well as open minded midwestern novel book readers. It drew me in with a promise for more or it’s good as it is. The author might write a sequel but on its own it’s a good book I just like knowing the potential for more.

A complex touching story.

A fantasy world that mirrors our own in so many ways. All the side characters with their own stories developing slightly in the back adds a lot to keep the plot going swiftly. Read with a mature mind since it goes into some heavy topics while handling them well.

I really like this authors “voice” in this book and others I’ve read like Mistborn. I get so involved with them that I sometimes don’t hear people calling my name! I recommend this one be read before the Kaladin books.

Kept me wondering what would happen next

I found this book to be interesting and heartwarming. Very good voice acting and the story was fun to read. I was able to be distracted by other things a few times so I took one star off but I have high expectations for full stars. I’d recommend to anyone who mildly likes any kind of sports and wants a few good laughs. The story is the core of this and I’m happy I listened to it.

A really good book

I love the humor and the complex storyline. I get so involved with the book. Sometimes I’m laughing out loud and my family looks over and one of my brothers once said was it Mat and I was very happy to have shared this series with him.
