Historia
For generations, nobles have gathered at a scenic estate once per year to compete. What transpires there is spoken of only in rumors, save for the prizes. Potent, powerful, and precious; the winners are said to receive a gift from magic itself. Reeling after their loss to Kalzidar, the adventurers from Maplebark can only press forward, following advice imparted by the gods. Their divine directions will lead them on a series of twisting paths, branching between old friends and new challenges, before ultimately pointing at a particular estate on a specific evening.

Things just got interesting!!
Revisado: 09-19-22
Man, I hate waiting for the next book. I think this was the best book yet in the series. the mystery deepens in the real world at a gaming convention. More is revealed about the NPCs and the world they live in.
My only major complaint, is that there isn't a bigger break/pause between when the story shifts characters. There were a few times I had to go back because we jumped from the NPCs to real world and it caught me off guard.

Private eye Eddie Valiant doesn't like Toons - those cartoon characters who live side-by-side with humans. But Eddie will work for a Toon if his cash supply is low enough. So he reluctantly agrees when Roger Rabbit, a Toon who plays straight man (or should that be straight rabbit) in the Baby Herman cartoon series, asks him to find out who's been trying - unsuccessfully - to buy his contract from the DeGreasy Brothers syndicate. Then Rocco DeGreasy is murdered - and Roger is the prime suspect!

I think I liked it more than the money.
Revisado: 02-06-22
I didn't know "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" was based on a book. so when I saw this in a sale recently, I had to take a peak. yes the story is 100% different from the movie. At most you can say the movie lifts the character names and that is it.
I thought the voice acting was pretty good. of course I kept trying to compare it to Bob Hoskins and Charles Fleischer.
The story revolves around two murders with Eddie and Roger trying to solve it. Just as you think you got it figured out they throw in some new twists.
It was a fun read.

Historia
The year is A.D. 922. A refined Arab courtier, representative of the powerful Caliph of Baghdad, encounters a party of Viking warriors who are journeying to the barbaric North. He is appalled by their Viking customs - the wanton sexuality of their pale, angular women, their disregard for cleanliness...their cold-blooded human sacrifices. But it is not until they reach the depths of the Northland that the courtier learns the horrifying and inescapable truth.

Doesn't really work as a Audiobook
Revisado: 01-29-22
the first half of the story, while interesting doesn't really work as an audiobook. It felt more like a book from school. once the story starts to get more towards the Beowulf influence it gets better, but there still random parts that the narrator has to explain, that can take you out of the story.

I'm not a big LitRPG fan....
Revisado: 11-18-19
... but I enjoyed this story. unlike some of the others that I have listen too, there wasn't an over abundance of "stats" reading. there was some weird audio issues in the middle of the book where there seemed to be large pauses between sentences.
Most likely will pick up the second book as I do want to know what is going to happen next.

The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

Disclaimer: I was given a copy of this book free in exchange for an honest review.
I have never been one for Sci-Fi Anthologies, I am not sure why, but I just never seemed to catch my interest. I had an opportunity to review a copy of this one and honestly, I think I might try to pick up more anthologies. There is a good mix of stories. Some of them I didn't care for. Others, I didn't think I would enjoy, but ended up doing so. There are a few authors now that I might try to keep tabs on. Some I hope expand their worlds created in the short stories.
All in all, if you are looking for a good mix of sci-fi. Then this might be good purchase.

When you discover the world is a computer program, and you figure out that by altering the code you can time travel and perform acts that seem like magic, what can possibly go wrong? Pretty much everything. Just ask Brit, who has jumped around in time with such abandon that she has to coexist with multiple versions of herself. Now, Brit the Elder finds that her memories don't match Brit the Younger's.

I think there needs to be a change.
Revisado: 08-06-18
I've enjoyed the series since I read book one. I know a lot of readers didn't like Book 4. While I can see their complaints, I personally feel Book 5 is worse. It's still a fun read and I did enjoy it. But there are a few things that getting old.
Brit/Old Brit/Much Older Brit - I've never really liked this character and this story pretty much revolves around her. It does help explain some of her actions in the book 2-4, but the reasoning behind it is stupid.
Martin - I feel that his character is getting constantly crapped on for no reason. Martin has been around for a few years now with this group of friends, but everybody treats him like an idiot. Yes, he doesn't make the greatest choices, but so far, he has been right most of the time. So when he comes to the group with his problem, WHY DO THEY NOT LISTEN TO HIM!
Ugh....
I will say, I am looking forward to the next book. The epilogue sets up a new story arc that does sounds interesting. And I do enjoy Luke Daniels as the narrator. His voice he does for all the characters are pretty great.
All in All, If you have enjoyed the first few books, you will enjoy this book.

An Interesting take on Time Travel
Revisado: 01-16-17
I've had this book on my wishlist for awhile and I finally was able to listen to it. While nowhere near the same level as say, Jurassic Park. The Dinosaur Four was a very fun listen.
What started out as a typically Denver morning for 10 people, quickly turned into stuff of nightmares.
I really didn't know what I was expecting going in, but it was a pretty enjoyable experience. It was nice to see the dinosaurs have a more updated looked due to all the new information we have about dinosaurs. My only one complaint is that I guess the book/movie Jurassic Park does not exist in this universe. As some of the actions the characters take, would not be the case IF they had seen (or read) the story.
The time travel mechanics were also a different take and refreshing. All and all I think Geoff Jones took some time to do a good bit of research for his story, and I think it shows. Yes some of the characters were one-dimensional/stereotypical and made stupid mistakes, but at the some time. You can't blame them either.
So in the end, if you have 8 hours to burn on a fun dino filled adventures. I'd do suggest trying this book out.
Full Disclosure: I was given a copy of this book by the Author in exchange for an honest review.
